Full apartment in a classic Spanish style triplex built in 1926, with one bathroom, full kitchen and integrated living room bedroom with queen size bed. Hardwood floors, vintage tile in kitchen and bathroom, and windows looking onto a garden terrace.
The kitchen is fully functional with gas stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, cooking utensils, plates, glasses etc. I supply coffee, tea and spices.
Nearby you will find grocery stores, fine restaurants, cheap burritos, excellent Thai food, ZJ's surf shop, Peet's Coffee, art studios, public libraries, parks, Santa Monica welcome center with maps and info, Sunday farmers market and much more.
It's close enough to the beach to have clean fresh ocean air yet distant enough to be above the noise and crowds.Easy public transit to downtown Santa Monica - or a quick bike ride. Half mile to the beach, one mile to Venice, Rose Ave and Abbot Kinney.
You will have a tranquil home in a quiet neighborhood with very nice and respectful neighbors. It's perfect if you want a relaxing place to come home to after enjoying your time at the beach or out on the town. Or just just lounge in for a lazy day.
Please let me know if I can help out during your stay. I was born in Santa Monica and can most likely answer any questions about the area.

I stayed in Cris's apartment for 12 days. It is a great place with lots of sunshine
flowing through the apartment during the day. It is at a great location - 5 minutes to the next larger grocery store and Lincoln Blvd which has very good bus connections.
About 1 km from the beach and main street with all its shops and restaurants.
there is also a nice live music place called Trip within walking distance.
Walking over to Santa Monica with even more shopping and dining takes you 20 minutes.
Cris was the best host I ever had - very responsive and helpful with all problems that visitors may have.
I really recommend this apartment.
I went to raw food school in Santa Monica, me and my family rented this apartment for 2 months we were really happy with it and to be so close to the center, the beach and the shops the apartment is very well located. Cris also had a bike for me to go to school with, there is a table outside for nice days. The kitchen is fully equipped with a nice gas stove. When ever we needed something Cris was really kind to always accommodate it. I highly recommend it.
Great experience! Cris is an excellent host, easiest check in and out, extremely flexible. The studio is lovely, has everything you might need (even a fully functional kitchen we used quite a bit) and the location is wonderful (four blocks from a supermarket, pharmacy, etc.). We had a car (strongly recommend to rent one when in LA) so can't speak about access to public transportation, but staying in Santa Monica if you have a car is ideal to visit LA. It is quiet and safe, the drive to the Third Street Promenade and the Pier is about 10 minutes from Cris' studio, and you can do all the shopping dinning you might want there. Overall, I would definitely stay there again if I go back to LA/Santa Monica. I wish Cris had a place in every city I visit!
1. The owner. Our communication with Cris was excellent before our trip. Although he was out of town during our stay (we were there over Christmas), we were in touch with each other a few times via email about touristy things. His brother lives nearby and was accessible to us if we had needed assistance (we didn’t). Cris arranged for a second bicycle for us to use, which was nice. After a long flight, we appreciated the cheese, bread, fruit and coffee that Cris left for us in the kitchen.
2. The apartment. There was ample, easy parking, and the neighborhood was quiet. We felt safe and had two keys – one locked an outside gate, and the other was for the apartment. The kitchen was very functional for us (we cooked a lot). The appliances seemed relatively new. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. There is an apartment directly above, but we only heard people one day, and it was just normal noise – nothing bothersome.
3. The location. I am so glad we stayed in Santa Monica. A great little city…nice parks, nearby canyon hikes, the beach (of course), cute shops, very friendly people, easy to bicycle around, a great independent movie theatre, and the fun Santa Monica Pier. An easy bike ride to Venice Beach and Marina Del Ray. It’s also a convenient location for hopping on to Interstate 10 and the Pacific Coast Hwy – a short drive to the Staples Center in L.A., Getty Museum, Studio City, and Malibu. We also took a day trip to Santa Barbara.
We stayed for 5 weeks at this apartment after moving back to Los Angeles from one year trip in Europe. Cris was a great host and everything worked very well. Even though apartment is a studio it was still big enough for family of two adults and one toddler to be staying in for longer term. It's very clean with separate kitchen, small dining area and bathroom. There is also fenced yard for privacy. Cris is around for any questions and he's overall very nice person. Location is great too as the street is very quiet with plenty of parking spots and there is short walk to the beach and Main Street Santa Monica. I can recommend staying in this apartment for short or longer term.
After leaving my cell charger at home Cris found an extra one for me and after finding out that I surfed, Cris let me use one of his boards- above and beyond the call of any host...
Great location, great space, great host! Overall grrrrreat...
The apartment was perfect for my needs: private, clean, appointed with all the necessary comforts. The location was perfect for my needs, and the nearby beach was a great nearby attraction. Cris was very easy to work with, and communication was easy. While I never met him in person, I was able to get into the apartment without trouble. I would recommend Cris and this apartment without reservation!
We couldn't ask for better than that!!! We had an amazing stay at Cris apartament. It was very clean and spacius and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, very quiet neighborhood and very close to The beach!! Cris and Luhanda are very friendly and helpful host. Without a doubt i woulf highly recommended Cris place to be home away from home. Thank you very much!
Cris is the perfect host. From the moment we booked our stay until departure, he made sure we had everything we needed (beach towels, extra sheets, kitchenware, etc). The studio was wonderful - really comfortable, peaceful, super clean and includes a sweet spot to sit outside and enjoy the Santa Monica sky + sunshine. Side note: I was working during my stay and the internet connection was great - fast without any problems. The location is AMAZING. You can easily walk down to Main Street for coffee (Peets), dinner (too many to list) or fresh juice (Main Squeeze). And the beach... :) Santa Monica beach is fantastic! Go for a walk, a swim, take a surfing lesson and don't miss the sunset. I look forward to staying here again and HIGHLY recommend Cris's place to anyone looking for a place in the Santa Monica or Venice area.
Cris was very helpful and friendly. Our flight arrived relatively late at night, yet he accommodated us and waited outside of the place to hand us the keys and give us a short tour.
The space is very cozy. My wife and I talked about if we moved to LA, that this room would be ideal (we don't need too much space). The neighborhood feels very safe and quiet.
Location is great! Main St has a bunch of good food and shopping (only a few blocks away). We also hit up the beach a few times (so much fun)!
I would definitely recommend this place.
