  • Alison is a very gentle and uncomplicated host. Her apartment is very nice, clean, tidy, calm and in a really attractive neighbourhood. The bedroom is charming with a markedly comfortable bed. If you want to go to Manhattan: The subway around the corner brings you there in a few minutes. I really can recommend this place!

  • Communication with Alison was great, very easy. The place is quite basic but clean and very close to the subway, with easy access to all of the city. Local neighborhood has lots of nice places too, especially hipster bars. Overall a good experience!

  • Alison is a sweetheart and an excellent host. She is exceptional with communication and was very helpful with directions on how to get to her place from the airport. She had great suggestions for food and things to do in the area as well as how to get into Manhattan. Her place is nicely decorated, the room was clean and she really helped me to feel at home. It is in a great location just a two minute walk from a train stop taking you directly into Manhattan. It is also within a 10 min walk to other stations which can take you to other parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and the other boroughs. Williamsburg Pizza is just a couple blocks away and real tasty. I recommend her and would stay here again.

    I had a nice stay.

  • Only 20 minutes taxi drive from JFK, and 2 metro stops from Manhattan. Alison is very friendly and helpful. Good heating! We even had to open the window. Transport to Manhatten literally around the corner (1 minute walk). As we visited Manhattan but stayed at Alison's, we had a taste of gentrified Brooklyn too. Johan and Aygul

About
Fun, sociable, reliable, hard working and respectful. I am a Hot Yoga teacher. I'm easy to get along with as I come from a mixed background and I've travelled and lived in different places in Europe, Africa and the USA. Italy's Tuscany region (Florence) being my favorite vacation destination. I also loved Capetown in South Africa where I went on a Safari and saw the Big 5 (Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard and Lion). I speak fluently English and French, got to learn at an early age Italian and started speaking Spanish a couple of years ago. I dine out a lot and I'm always curious to discover ethnic styles of cooking. I'll never say no to Italian or Indian food ! I'm addicted to NYC's indescribable energy and fast paced life. In love with my neighborhood Williamsburg since the 1st time I visited I will be glad to share and show around the magic of this up and coming neighborhood. I'm a welcoming, laid back, organized, helpful and respectful host. Barely home, the apartment will feel just like yours. I expect guests to be clean and respectful of the overall apartment but most of all to be friendly and trustworthy. My life motos : " Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication " " Travel light, spread the light, be the light "
