Check In
  • The apt is in a really good location, but the room is a little bit small and the net work sometimes doesn't work.

  • John is a really nice guy who communicated well with us and was very hospitable. The location was on a really nice street and the room, while basic, met our needs.

  • This was a great little space in Greenwich Village. John's mother met us at the apartment and walked us through everything. It reminded me of a pension I stayed at in German years ago with the shared bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and my teenage daughter love the loft bed. We had everything we needed to have a great trip.

  • Affordable base for exploring NYC. Greenwich is a great neighborhood and transportation to other parts of the city is easy.

  • Great location! The host was super kind and easy to communicate with. The room was clean and comfortable. The restroom and shower are located outside the apartment in the hallway and you share it with the rest of the floor. The restroom and shower wasent cleans and the hallway smelled bad.

  • The room is actually bigger than it looks and is perfect for two or three people. It's clean, quiet and in a great location. John and his dad are very nice and accommodating, too. I would go back!

  • I just have to say this is the place to stay. I had a wonderful experience with everything. John was out of town, but his father was in touch with me the all time before I got to New York. I knew from the get go that it was going to fine. When I arrived to New York, John's brother Ray was there to give us the keys and show the place. He was such nice person, and had no worry to be in touch with him if something wrong would have happen. The place was great, everything was impeccable, the linen were clean, there was towels for us, and plenty of them. The kitchenette had everything you need, there was coffee maker which was very important. The shower and bathroom was not an issue at all, and it was clean, and it almost felt like it was your own. I love that we weren't that far from the subway, just 5 minutes walk. There was a french restaurant right in the corner of 6th avenue and 11th st. Like I said great place to stay, and I definitively recommend and will booked again.

  • Great experience. Yes, the place was microscopically small. Bathroom in the hall was expected but still a throwback to dorm living. But John's father met us, was polite and helpful, the place was super-clean, and three adults slept fine (thanks in part to a blow-up mattress on the floor). For it night it served us perfectly. Though I'd lived in Greenwich Village in the 80s, I'd forgotten how charming it is. Quiet neighborhood. Safe. Farmer's markets in the square. We loved the location!

Hi everyone, I am 24 years old and a senior at NYU. I was born in Cologne Germany, grew up in New Jersey and have been living in the West Village for 5 years now. I make an effort to keep my room clean and spend little time in it like most living in downtown Manhattan. I also have a place in Harlem that is listed as well, where I stay at on occasion along with visiting NJ.
