Our neighborhood is full of families and homes that are in close proximity. We are very respectful of our peaceful surroundings and each other and we ask that you do the same. Please also leave house in the same condition as you found it.
Fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch. Also everything we needed to cook for an extended stay (4 mo) was already provided.
Our host was great at communicating with us before our trip. Every e-mail was responded to immediately by our host or his property manager. Check in and check out was very easy. The property was exactly as advertised - a charming Mill Valley cottage in a lovely quiet Mill Valley neighborhood, which we really loved. There was parking right in front of the house. The property was immaculately clean, nicely decorated, bright and cheerful well equipped and very comfortable. There was a secluded deck with beautiful roses as well. We would definitely return.
This apartment was excellent. Really comfortable bed, a nice -- albeit small -- deck to chill out on, a quiet location, and convenient to a whole foods and the center of Mill Valley. I stayed here as a base to go cycling in the area and it was literally a couple blocks to the primary route(s) to Hawk Hill, Alpine Dam, Paradise Loop and the many other cycling routes in the area. This was a great, relaxing stay!
The check-in and check-out processes were extremely easy and efficient. The home was very clean.
The cottage was wonderful. Just as described. Great location and so quiet! We appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We would definitely return.
Great place to stay. You can easily get to SF, Point Reyes, Stinson Beach, Muir Woods. So much to do closeby. Loved the neighborhood - clean, quiet, fun to walk through. Easy and responsive communication with David and Janet. Kitchen has everything you need. Deck is wonderful for morning coffee and Tai Chi. Would stay here again anytime!
My family and I were in the process of re-locating back to the Bay area and this place served our needs perfectly. Comfortably fit my wife and I with our 3 year old daughter. Everything we needed was provided, including the things like salt, pepper, oil, so we didn't have to buy the small things if we wanted to cook. Great location: 2 minutes from downtown Mill Valley, a 2 minute walk to take a bus into the city, a 3 minute drive to 101.
About the Host, David
I was born and raised near Chicago, and studied Civil/Environmental
Engineering at the University of Illinois. I moved to San Francisco in
1985, and worked in the environmental consulting field (primarily in the
water resources area) for about 20 years. I currently live outside
Sebastopol, CA, and work as a "green builder".
I have lived in Mill Valley for most of the last 20 years. I LUV Mill Valley and you will too. A perfect micro climate, right at the foot of Mt. Tam, makes for perfect hiking and biking trails. You'll also enjoy the "casual chic" of Mill Valley, lots of great restaurants, entertainment and shops.
My little cottage is ideally located in a charming neighborhood, close to everything and easy access.
