Master with Private Bath

House - Private room · Cider Springs Road, Sebastopol, CA 95472, United States

House is in a charming country setting with stunning views. Only 5 minutes from town and a 40 minute walk Graton. You will enjoy the peacefulness of country living only minutes from the local produce market and bike riding / walking trails.

The Space

Relax in the hot tub after a bike ride through the local vineyards and apple orchards (use of 2 bicycles included) or after a 10 minute walk to the local, well reviewed Taft Street Winery for wine tasting. Make sure to take time in the evening to sit on the wraparound deck, take in the beautiful view and enjoy the sunset behind the distant hills.

And don't forget to collect eggs before breakfast.

Much of the house is eco-friendly, with cork floors and wool carpets - A washer/dryer is also available, as is use of the kitchen as well as use of the family room.

Two other bedrooms (and entire house) available. Please inquire.

Guest Access

Common living areas, hot tub, kitchen, deck and yard. (The house sits on .75 acres and guests have access to the upper half of it while our neighbors enjoy the lower half.)

Interaction with Guests

I might be around. Hard to say.

The Neighborhood

Some things I love about my neighborhood include the open sky, the view, the rural feel, the nearby working family farm, the apple orchards, the long narrow single lane road approaching the property. Ok, the vineyards too :)

Like our neighbors, we are on well water that although filtered can contain more minerals than city water.

Getting around

Guests can walk to the very popular Underwood and Willowood restaurants in Graton (40 minutes - some uphill). It's also a very short walk to Taft winery and a 5 minute drive to downtown Sebastopol.

Other Things to Note

This is my family home so I ask only guests interested in taking care of it consider staying here.

No cigarettes inside please.

  • Denise was very helpful with arranging the visit. unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet her but the stay and place were great.

  • Beautiful location and comfortable stay at Denise's house. Denise was friendly and accommodating and we felt right at home! Denise allowed us an extra night which helped us out during rainy camping weather. She left detailed instructions on things, such as laundry, which were very helpful.

  • We spent one night at Denise's, arriving in the evening and leaving early the next morning, so unfortunately we were only able to chat with Denise for a few minutes. However, communicating and coordinating with her around our trip was very easy, she was always helpful and quick in replying back either via phone or email. We found her to be a great host, and extremely accommodating. The house itself is very comfortable and surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the room we had was quiet and private. Definitely recommend a stay here - and be sure to say hi to the chickens!

  • My Stay in Denise"s home was very enjoyable. She is a gracious and welcoming host. The room was very comfortable, spacious and inviting. The comfortable full size bed was a treat, it was nicely furnished with no clutter. I loved being welcomed by a personal note and fresh flowers. The bathroom, clean, and spacious with lots of counter space. Easy to use kitchen, and easy access. Thank you Denise, the hot tub in the rain was my favorite part.

  • Our stay in Denise's master bedroom was very pleasant. Having the private bath was great! We were very comfortable and felt as if we were at home. It is just a few minutes out of town with a beautiful view!
Denise was very good about responding and keeping in touch prior to our arrival. She an interesting person and very enjoyable to talk with. She had coffee fixings and offered us breakfast of fresh eggs from her chickens every morning. She had her 3 kids the weekend we were there and seriously, they were so well behaved we hardly knew they were there. It was our pleasure to have met them! We would absolutely stay again.

  • We loved staying in Denise's home in her master bedroom. Denise was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions and concerns promptly. She went out of her way to make our visit more enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable and the private bathroom was a plus.
Everything in her home is well taken care of and very comfortable to relax in after a day of biking or hiking. We really enjoyed the use of the bikes and the hot tub on the deck was used morning and evening. We read and followed a lot of her suggestions on activities to do - you can bike and walk as soon as you walk out the front door. I plan on returning and would highly recommend her home to my friends and family. You are missing out if you don't stay here with Denise!

  • Denise's house is in an idyllic setting in the countryside, surrounded by orchards, grapes and healthy living. She was a very welcoming host and our room was clean and cozy with a big bathroom. My favourite touch was the note of 'tips and tricks' for the guest where it said "eggs - help yourself to eggs from the chicken coop". The extra bonus was that there were no loud roosters!

About
I have been very lucky in life, getting the chance to travel and live in dozens of international countries. Travel and really living internationally has been my truest passion besides my love of people and all their diversities. I grew up in Palo Alto, California and now have landed in the beautiful wine country of Sebastopol. I can get around with my passable Kindergarten level Spanish and I also speak a tiny bit of Bahasa Indonesian.
