The space
Heise Hot Springs and amazing hiking and zip line right up the road! Spacious real log cabins in a peaceful, beautiful Idaho canyon with tons of on-site and nearby year-round recreation opportunities including hot springs, world class fishing, summer water slide and pools, par 3 golf course, zip lines, western dinner shows, winter tubing, and hundreds of ATV trails. Real log cabins with two queen log beds, 3/4 shower bath, and mini kitchenette with Keurig hot drink maker, a toaster oven, a microwave and small fridge in each of four cabins. K cup flavors as requested, including coffees, decaf, tea, herb teas, hot chocolate and apple cider. Limited number of TV's and DVD players available if requested. Beautiful sunsets, scenery and wildlife abound.
We use only eco-sensitive products at our Inn— it’s too pretty and serene here to do otherwise.
If you are bringing a dog, you must note this in your registration, and a $15 per pet per stay will be requested. No more than 2 dogs; no cats allowed. Please note: please pick up after immediately, always on a leash when outside, never left in a room alone for even a second without being put in a kennel you provide, and no dogs sleeping on beds at all.
Monthly rates are sometimes available from October through April.

I am a wife, mom of 3 and grandma of 8, and a bit of an adrenaline junky-- whitewater rafting, zip lining and skiing. Also one who loves the peace and quiet of the countryside. Favorite book: Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner. Movies: The Princess Bride; Oh Brother, Where Art Thou; The Secret Garden. Five things I can't live without dental floss, Chacos and Haflinger clogs, one good pair of earrings, lip balm, and reading glasses. Favorite food: raspberries. Favorite travel: weekend road trips and national parks. Life motto: "No regrets."

During your stay

We believe a peaceful relaxing stay means that if you want to visit with us that's a great thing. If you prefer no interaction, we follow your lead.

To get here:
Our address is 105 N 5050 E, Rigby, Idaho. GPS generally gets you to near our place, but usually drops guests on the big left bend in the road. Proceed around the big left bend in the road that transitions from 100 North road to 5050 East road. Our Inn entrance is the very next left. If you go over the Heise Bridge then you’ve gone about 1/4 mile too far north.
ESSENTIAL-- Given that we only run self check in, have dark skies with no street lights and few street signs, and the spottiness of non-verizon cell service, please expect a text with pictures to your cell phone listed with airbnb. In order to not get totally lost and not being able to contact our staff, pretty please take a full screen of the entire text and pictures. With the directions in your photos, you will get here in good order. You've been kindly warned. Welcome!
Before 8 pm you MIGHT be able to reach Sharon the owner or Tina the camphost. Again, please screenshot everything sent to you by text.
Thank you.
Late arrivals are no problem since we run self check in.
The door will be unlocked for you, the key on the wall hook behind the door, and your room ready for you. We only run self check in. The door will be unlocked for your stay, and the key will be on the wall hook behind the door. There is no office on site at all, so there is no check in or check out process or location. Please do not look for a person to check you in, just make your way directly to the Deer Log Cabin. Welcome!
