With TWO ensuite primary suites, soaring ceilings, inviting indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and a prime location just 6 blocks from Main Street, it’s perfect for families and friends. Explore the Hill Country, then unwind by the firepit, play bocce ball, or enjoy a glass of wine beneath the shade trees.
The space
Step inside and you’ll immediately notice what sets Rae’s Retreat apart. Soaring ceilings showcase the open-concept living, dining, and kitchen areas, creating a bright, cheerful, and welcoming space for everyone to gather. Settle into the large sectional and recliner for conversation or a movie, or share meals and memories around the oversized dining table with seating for 8–10.
Rae’s Retreat features four separate bedrooms, including two ensuite primary bedrooms, giving families and groups both togetherness and privacy. A third beautifully updated bathroom is shared by another relaxing King bedroom and a fourth bedroom with two Double beds. Each bedroom features comfortable beds, ample storage, bedside lamps with USB outlets, ceiling fans, and room-darkening shades to help everyone get a great night’s sleep.
There’s plenty to enjoy without ever leaving the house. Choose a favorite album and put it on the record player, watch the big game on the large-screen TV, or grab something from our well-stocked game shelf for a little friendly competition.
And then there’s the outdoor space — one of our favorite parts of Rae’s Retreat. Relax on the porch swing beneath the large covered patio with ceiling fans, sip your morning coffee from a rocking chair, fire up the large propane grill, and enjoy an outdoor meal at the picnic table. As evening arrives, pour a glass of wine and gather around the firepit beneath the string lights to laugh, relax, and share stories.
Feeling competitive? Try a game on our private bocce ball court — a rare amenity and a guest favorite. Just be warned: bocce can become surprisingly addictive!
The large corner lot is surrounded by a privacy fence and beautiful mature shade trees, providing plenty of room to unwind with family and friends. A two-car carport off the alley also helps keep your vehicles protected from the Texas sun.
The well-stocked kitchen makes preparing meals easy, with updated appliances and everything you need for your stay. Or turn the kitchen into your own entertaining space with the wine refrigerator and abundant wine and cocktail glasses. Thoughtful conveniences include a filtered-water tap at the kitchen sink and a tankless water heater providing plenty of hot water — especially appreciated when you have a house full of guests!
Rae’s Retreat is located in very quite, tranquil neighborhood located approximately 6 blocks from Main Street and less than a mile from Cross Mountain and its beautiful panoramic views. The tree-lined neighborhood makes walking, running, and biking a pleasure, and the stroll into town is easy and enjoyable. Dining, shopping, wine tasting, and live music are all close by, while Rae’s Retreat gives you a comfortable residential setting to return to at the end of the day.

My wife Nicole and I live in the Dallas area and have spent much of our careers in real estate, so we appreciate great homes and the details that make them comfortable and inviting. Our love of the Texas Hill Country drew us to Fredericksburg and Rae’s Retreat.
