The apartment was in a great location very close to Noviciado metro, only a couple stops away from central Madrid which was very nice. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of six, and the balcony was wonderful to sit out on at night. A great value for our four night stay in Madrid.
The location is perfect. It's located at the heart of Madrid centre so you can reach almost every places by walk.
We couldn't meet Rafael but his friend Jose friendly introduced the apartment and welcomed us. Rafael replied every questions quickly via airbnb, too.
We could find everything we need at the apartment, but we thought it wasn't well cleaned.. Besides it's rather hot because it's the rooftop place, so take note about this!
Yony, thanks for your good words, but is necesary to close all windows and doors when A.C. is working. After your early check out the cleaning service found A.C. working Windows open and worse: the door of the apartment open too. Be more carefull , please!
Of course the apartment was enougth clean.
El apartamento es una joya: ubicado en el centro de Madrid, cerca de las principales atracciones turisticas, metro, restaurants, cafes, supermercado; tiene todas las comodidades para una excelente estancia.
We were made extremely welcome. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing. It was very clean, very comfortable and very quiet! This last point was particularly important for us due to a previous experience in Madrid! We hardly knew we were in a city. We were out and about all day every day but thoroughly enjoyed the terrace in the mornings and evenings/nights. The location is great - just a few minutes walk to a Metro, and with lots of bars and restaurants very near. Didn't have time to follow up all of our hosts' recommendations for bars/restaurants, but went to Casa Julia on Carrer Madera on our last night especially for the croquetas and thoroughly enjoyed! Get there early to even get in the door! Would definitely return.
Great Location, large place. A little bit difficult to cool in summer because its an attic but great place!
Rafaël was not present for the check in nour the check out but the people who took care of us were really kind and helpfull (we had a problem with the internet box and they were really reactive to solve the probleme).
The location of the appartment is perfect, in the center of the Madrid with many bars / restaurants, near metro, bus and every convenience. Everything in the appartment was according to the description.
We trully recomand this place, especially for the hot terrasse !!
Rafael was very helpful and very quick to respond to all messages.
Rafael's apartment is in a great location close to all the cool bars of malansan(y)a yet it is situated on a quiet street. The terrace is perfect for afternoon/evening cocktails with friends.
All in all a great place!

About the Host, Rafael
I'm a friendly, sociable person who is easy to deal with. I love meeting people from different countries, and helping visitors in whatever way I can to have a great time in Madrid. I've travelled around Europe, America and Asia, and speak Spanish, English (not perfect), Italian and some French.
I shared my apartment for many years with Spanish and foreign roommates, short and long term. I now rent the whole apartment, but I don't mind sharing some times.
I love my city and I'm an expert on Madrid, its neighborhoods, buildings, history ..... and of course great places to shop, eat and go out and have fun.
