The apartment is on the second floor of an old small traditional building from the early 1900s that faces the pedestrian area of Pigneto , the heart of the district. The house, renovated in 2013, consists of a living room with kitchen, bedroom , bathroom and a private roof terrace overlooking the rooftops of Pigneto. The building is located in a lovely private street within the pedestrian area, so it is really quiet.

During your stay you will have access to Full HD LCD TV, DVD player, amplifier that can be used with any MP3 player, microwave, hair dryer and free internet wireless 24/24. I will also provide bed linen and towels.

Pigneto is a genuine old fashioned neighborhood, a succession of small houses from the 1920s and narrow streets . The area is really close to the city center, and very well connected by public transport. Pigneto is the perfect location if you want to live an authentic Roman experience, and not just feel like a tourist.
My home is in the heart of the pedestrian area that every morning hosts an amazing street market with local vegetables, fish and meat, but in the evening it becomes one of the areas most frequented by young romans , who find here bars and restaurants of all kinds.
The neighborhood , now famous for being one of the liveliest and most creative in the city, in the past has been one of the favorite sets by neo-realists , who chose its streets as a setting for films such as "Roma città aperta", "Accattone" and "Bellissima"

  • Pigneto is such a cool area and Allesandro's apartment was lovely. We had a great stay and enjoyed spending time on the rooftop terrace also. Everything was clean and tidy and Allesandro recommended some great spots for dinner and drinks! Thank you!

  • Our host Alessandro Pone was very kind and helpful. He sent us very usful information concern arriving to his place and a map with a great selection of nice places at the neighborhood. He helped us with all the communication problems we had with a lot of patience and good will.
The apartment was, as promised, well equipped, nicely designed and clean. the roof terrace was a great supplement. The only disadvantage was the relatively small size of the living area.
The street is realy charming. During the day there is a small market, with fresh things we use to buy for our breakfasts, and in the evenings, when the market is closed and the street is cleaned, many Cafe's and bars are opened. Most customers are young local people and the atmosphere is great.

  • A very nice appartment - tiny but cosy - just outside the centre of Rome. It was very clean, well appointed and furnished in a modern way. Although the appartment is located in the pedestrian area of Pigneto it was quite because it is set back a little. Only the guests of Alessandro's appartment can access the beautiful terrace by the house stairway.

Alessandro's friend File welcomed us very friendly and gave us the keys and relevant information regarding the appartment and the area. In addition Alessandro had mailed us a zone map with location recommendations and a he was available at short notice (via text message or mail) if we had more questions.

We really appreciated the restaurants, little shops and the markets in the Pigneto area and also the fact that there were less tourist than in the center area.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back!

  • This is a lovely apartment just outside the centre of Rome in an area that would best be described as local. This was one of the attractions for us and we found the people in the area friendly.
The apartment is very clean, well fitted out and quiet, being set back from the pedestrianised road. Everything we might have needed in the apartment was there.
There's a terrific street market during the day and plenty of bars/restaurants open during the day and evening. It's easy to get into the centre of Rome and only takes a few minutes, depending on the wonderful traffic of course. We would stay out there (in this apartment) again without a problem. We stayed in the area during the evening, preferring that to the centre of Rome.
Alessandro is the perfect host - EXTREMELY helpful and friendly too. Booking was incredibly quick and easy and Alessandro gave us more than enough information to help us find our feet (and also some very good restaurants).

  • Alessandro's place was very comfy and stylish. The area (Pigneto) is just amazing with all the restaurants, bars .. during night and the foodmarket shops during the day.. Alessandro (his friend) was so nice to provide some instructions on arrival as well as a map with his recommendations about Pigneto. We followed his tipps and had a beatiful Rome experience. The terrace is also very romantic for late wine session(s) after a long day in Rome. We were blown away by the lively area (mainly visited by locals) and would come back and stay in his place again. Also the market during daytime is nice to watch everyday's life. Book it, you will not be disappointed.

  • Alessandro is a nice person, everything went clean and direct with no surprise.
The apartment is nice and as described by Alessandro.
How to say that... it took around 30 seconds to fall in love with the Pigneto area, it's a peace harbor the morning before going center of Roma and the evening after a journey in the center where you see more tourists than Romans ;-)
You really get a taste of what can be a Dolce Vita in Roma.
Restaurants are pretty good, I eat the best ever foccacia in my life at Pigneto 41.
Next time I'll go to Roma I hope I can get again Alessandro's apartment.
    Alessandro many thanks for all.

  • Alexandro was available any time. His city transportation and neighbourghood guides were quite useful.

The aparment was nice and the terrace is just great.

Pigneto is very lively and the market is right on the door. On weekends there's a huge nightlife offer.

Aanrader!

  • We spent a wonderful time in Rome. Alessandro was the perfect host: helpful, reliable and well organised. The apartment is very nice and clean. We also liked the lively neighborhood with the little restaurants and bars. If we went back to Rome, we'd certainly would stay there again. Thanks a lot, Alessandro!
