The apartment is on the second floor of an old small traditional building from the early 1900s that faces the pedestrian area of Pigneto , the heart of the district. The house, renovated in 2013, consists of a living room with kitchen, bedroom , bathroom and a private roof terrace overlooking the rooftops of Pigneto. The building is located in a lovely private street within the pedestrian area, so it is really quiet.
During your stay you will have access to Full HD LCD TV, DVD player, amplifier that can be used with any MP3 player, microwave, hair dryer and free internet wireless 24/24.
Pigneto is a genuine old fashioned neighborhood, a succession of small houses from the 1920s and narrow streets . The area is really close to the city center, and very well connected by public transport. Pigneto is the perfect location if you want to live an authentic Roman experience, and not just feel like a tourist.
My home is in the heart of the pedestrian area that every morning hosts an amazing street market with local vegetables, fish and meat, but in the evening it becomes one of the areas most frequented by young romans , who find here bars and restaurants of all kinds.
The neighborhood , now famous for being one of the liveliest and most creative in the city, in the past has been one of the favorite sets by neo-realists , who chose its streets as a setting for films such as "Roma città aperta", "Accattone" and "Bellissima".

Toller Aufenthalt!! Gerne wieder!
The stay at Alessandro’s apartment was perfect. The apartment was exactly as described, bright, clean, quiet and beautiful. The neighborhood looks a little bit rough at first glance, but no worries. We felt completely safe and at home. It’s a bit farther away from the main sights but you can walk or take the bus and get to the city centre in about half an hour. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet to Alessandro but he was always available via text and could always give us useful information. Before our trip he sent us helpful information about Pigneto. Every recommendation he gave us was really, really nice. If you stay at Alessandro’s place, you must try Pigneto Quarantuno, amazing pasta just across the street.
Via del Pigneto is remodeled at the moment so there was no market on the street. But we’re sure that it’ll be absolutely gorgeous once it’s finished.
Thanks again for everything!
It was definitely a very good experience to stay in Aleesandro's apartment in Rome. A very cozy space with quiet surroundings! Felt just like home!
Alessandro's place was great! We didn't get to meet him, but his communication was excellent and not hard to reach at all if I had a question to ask. His place was very cozy, homey and exactly my kind of style: simple, modern, but not pretentious. It's in the heart of, what feels like, an up and coming neighborhood in Rome, Pigneto. My girlfriend and I were able to get a local Roman experience staying at his place, while also getting the tourist experience during the day. The neighborhood is very lively at night with wine bars and restaurants all in walking distance. Also, public transportation is just a short walk from the place and, depending on where you want to go, goes directly to Termini (central station) or by the Ancient Rome. We couldn't have asked for a better time or place to stay in Rome. Grazie Alessandro!
Great apartment. All the facilities were clean the apartment is very secure. The roof top terrace is great for a drink in the sun. Restaurants and supermarkets are close.
Was a little worried about the neighbourhood but ended up being fine.
Cool apartment in cool (the coolest in Rome?) neighborhood. Easy check in-out. Laid back host who does great job of providing guide for the neighborhood. Nice patio.
