The heart of the Kasbah!

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Bazo, Rabat, Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer 10000, Morocco

In the heart of the XII th century Kasbah of the Oudayas, in a narrow street ("cul-de-sac") our house is strategically located. Facing the river Bou Regreg and the cities of Rabat and Sale. Enjoy the views from the amazing terrace , especially in the sunset and early morning!

The Space

In this multi-level traditional house (white and blue house, like all the kashba), we offer two totally different choices to our guests: The first one on the ground floor: an alcove with a double bed, separated by a curtain and connected to a living room with two sofas. There is no door, but it's the only room on the ground floor. We can provide an additional mattress for kids if needed. The second option is our private suite on two levels on the first floor: a double room (with lock and key) and a balcony, and your own private living room with a terrace, so you have your choice of great views with this option, for 60 € per night. Both choices include access to all amenities (kitchen bathroom, laundry, etc.).

Guest Access

Of course, the first option gives you access to the terrace as well. We have additional amenities for our guests, such as a whashing machine, sheets and towels, hairdryer, tv, dvd, all the kitchen utensils to cook and a small reading library in several different languages. A home-style breakfast is included. We are also happy to provide a catered dinner, as long as you order ahead of time. This is great opportunity to sample traditional Moroccan cuisine prepared by Tarik, our local chef-in-residence! The Kashba is located just beside the Medina, were you can purchase everything, and only 5 minutes away from the beach. There are petit taxis around to take you further.

Interaction with Guests

We love meeting our guests but also respect your privacy if you prefer to explore on your own. We can help by giving you some information about Morocco, transportation, local prices and of course how to reach our place, too. Would you like to learn how to cook in an authentic Moroccan kitchen, far from the tourist crowds? Tarik grew up in Morocco learning to cook the recipes of his grandmother. He loves sharing the secrets of this unique cuisine with our guests. Just let us know if you would like to schedule a session.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We enjoyed the very personal approach by Nuria and Tarik. The house is a true Moroccan style old town building with a terrace that has a wonderful view over the river (the delicious breakfast was served over there). We appreciated the many tips for visiting different attractions and restaurants in Rabat, as well as information about the life in general in Morocco.

Siempre atentos y disponibles. Excelente elección.

  • I really could not have wished for a better stay in Rabat. I have loved the cafe in the Oudaya since the first time I came to Morocco, and to be able to actually stay in the heart of the Kasbah and have that gorgeous view on the terrace every morning is a treat. Núria and Tarik were both welcoming and helpful during my three days. For instance, they had a menu ready (with Moroccan meals I could choose from) in case I wanted to eat-in for the night, which was a relief for me after a long travel. They also helped me through a sticky situation after I had accidentally left something back at my last hotel. I'm not sure what I would have done otherwise.

Overall Núria and Tarik were great hosts. I enjoyed my conversations with them and just had a lot of fun. Of course I'm sure if you wanted more time for yourself to explore and what not, that's not a problem either. I was given a key so I could leave and enter as I wished. Wifi and showers were both no problem. The alcove downstairs was more than comfortable for me and pretty warm with all the blankets available. I felt like I had all the comforts of home and even a bit more, since the ocean was a few minutes walk away.

Hopefully I'll get to stay here again the next time I'm in Rabat!

  • Núria and Tarik were both welcoming and helpful during my stay. The location is ideal and the views are amazing. Breakfast was served every morning at whatever time you chose and they would answer any questions you had about the city if you asked. They also had a menu of traditional Moroccan food for dinner that they would cook for you for a small fee. During my stay they helped me decide what to see and even helped me find an easier way to get to my next destination.

  • Nuria and Tarik are welcoming, warm and generous hosts. We couldn't wish for better hosts, they gave us helpful tips and fun routes to take around the city - esp the water crossing to Sale. The breakfasts were delicious, and best eaten on the balcony overlooking the beautiful city of Rabat - a really beautiful view.

Staying in Nuria and Tarik's traditional house in the kasbah gave a different perspective to Rabat, a much better alternative to a boring hotel! After staying two nights we consider them as friends and would definitely come back.

  • Nuria and Tarik were excellent hosts, they made us feel really welcome and were very helpful. Their house is lovely, especially the view from the terrace - we could have spent all day just looking out over the river and Rabat. The Kasbah is a great area to be in, with the medina and the sea close by.

  • We felt immediately at home from the moment we arrived at Nuria and Tarik house. Nuria took time to show us the city and Tarik to tell us more about Morocco! I hope to come visit them very soon again!

Hello, my name is Núria, I am from Barcelona and I live in Rabat. I always liked to travel with my backpack and feel the adventure. As a host, I would like to offer what I always wanted to find when I travel: hospitallity and kindness, good advises and tips, a clean and cozy place where to relax at the end of the day... in resum, make the guest feel at home. My partner, Tarik, is local and he is always willing to help and give good advice.
