About This Listing
My guest bedroom can accommodate 2 people (1 double bed) and potentially 1 extra person (1 one-person mattress can be put on the floor). The furniture is Family furniture of about 100 years old (so please take good care of it) and the mattress is extremely comfortable! :)
I live at the beginning of the Geldrop village, which touches Eindhoven, about 10 minutes by bus or 20 minutes by bycicle to the center of Eindhoven (much closer to the center of Eindhoven than some areas in Eindhoven itself....)
There is also a train station in Geldrop (10 minutes walk) with trains every half hour during week days (every hour on the weekend) and there is a bus stop about 100 meters from my house. The supermarket is also 3 minutes walk away, it closes at 8pm from Monday to Saturday.
It is a quiet area so you should sleep very well ! The mattress is also very good.
I will provide towels for each Guest, so you do not need to bring those. You will share the bathroom with me, but there are 2 toilets in my house.
I offer a simple breakfast together with the room (toasts, butter, jam & coffee/tea)
Wireless internet is available (high speed, 100MB fiberglass)
You can use the oven/ microwave in the kitchen.
I also have one spare female bycicle that you can rent for the day as well (deposit required for that).
For stays longer than 1 week, you can use the washer / dryer (providing a fee).
Any questions, please feel free to ask !
NO smoking inside
I get up very early every day therefore do appreciate some peace and quiet in the house.. thank you!
Please note that only the basic breakfast is included. It is not meant that you can help yourself in my fridge and through my private things (bathroom). Thank you for your understanding.
It was a real pleasure to live and spend time with Myriam, very helpful, friendly, the bedroom was nice, I really recommend her place :-)
I stayed 2 nights in Miriams home and it was a great time (just to short).
Miriam is a very friendly host, very helpfull and everything is clean.
The bedroom is big enough and the (very old) bed has an extremly comfortable mattress.
If I had to travel to Eindhoven again, this will be my favorite place to stay
We liked the location (3 minutes to bus stop & supermarket, 10-15 minutes to train station), and Myriam was very welcoming and helped out in one particular situation. Loved the way Myriam managed the house!
N.B. Take bus nr. 20 or 24 from Eindhoven. Bus stop in Geldrop is called "Eindhovenseweg" (costs about 1.70 Eur with OV-chipcard). Don't take bus 10 from Eindhoven, although it indicates Geldrop as the final (website hidden). 10 rides to the other end of Geldrop :)
This is a lovely room close to Eindhoven (Geldrop, 15 mins by bus). Miriam is a nice host with diverse hobbies. Her house is typical local look one with a lively feel. The privat room has a nice comfortable bed and is silent. Wireless internet, heating etc. all work well. Grained coffee early in the morning was also a great start.
Miriam was responsive, hospitable, and kind. Her room was a perfect place for us to rest for a day in between trips. Geldrop was a 5-minute train ride from Eindhoven's Central Station, from where we caught the 401 bus to the Eindhoven airport. Miriam's house is located some 15 minutes walking distance from the Geldrop train station in a quiet suburban area.
About the Host, Miriam
I am French and have been living in the Netherlands for the past 15+ years.
I love wine, music (I play piano and diatonic accordion), I'm crazy about traveling, I'm passionate about photography and just love life!
Because I have my own business at home, I would prefer non-party people... and cannot allow any visitors during your stay, thanks.
Also, I work Monday-Friday's so I cannot be at home during the day to welcome you, arrivals/departures need to be in the early morning or evening. Thanks a lot for understanding!
