About This Listing
A small guest room on a quiet street, in a nice apartment. It was decorated as a nursery for my newborn daughter.
5 minutes afoot from Alewife Station from where the Red Line will take you to Harvard, MIT, MGH or downtown in ten to twenty minutes (depending on your destination — use a maps website for commute times from Alewife Station).
The district is quiet and residential, but within walking distance of the very active Porter Sq or Davis Sq, of a shopping mall with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, and of very nice parks.
The room has a "twin size" bed, which is large for a single person. The bed would be quite tight for two people. Now, I can add a "queen size" air mattress, where one or two more people can comfortably sleep (or three, less comfortably). However, once there is the air mattress, the room becomes very small, with little space to stand. You may of course stand, sit and chill out in the living room and other common areas of the house, but your private space will be small. In summary, if you need a lot of private space, this room fits one. If you don't, it fits three. If you're young and have high tolerance for being crammed up, I've had a group of four happily sleep there and I could imagine five — though really I don't recommend more than three. (People often ask me.)
You will share a common bathroom with other guests (if any) staying in the Guest Room.
You will have access to the kitchen and living room.
The door unlocks with a numeric keycode. You will have your own keycode and can come and go at your leisure. Individual rooms also have their own lock with their own keycode. Please be considerate of the other occupants of the apartment, and of neighbors living in other floors or nearby houses.
Be warned that the apartment is on the second floor, and there is no elevator, and there are 22 steps of stairway.
There is a parking spot available that may or may not be available. Please inquire about it if you need it.

Faré was flexible in my arrival time which really helped as I was arriving by train in the morning.
Everything about my stay was very comfortable and convenient. The airbnb description was accurate.
I was very pleased with how close I was to the T stop and the neighborhood felt very safe.
This small room is in an apartment with a spacious shared kitchen, living room and dining room, as described and depicted. The residential neighborhood is quiet and yet convenient (to T, shops, resaurants). Faré was very responsive and made arrival and departure very easy with thorough instructions for self-service in the apartment.
My first airbnb experience at Faré's house was Excellent! The host is very easy going and remotely but professionally manages the house and helps you if you have any questions or problems. The house is very well systemized from the push button lock to regular cleanings. The new LG washer/dryer are Awesome! You have everything whatever you need in this house whether your stay would be for a short trip or a long vacation.
Albeit short, my stay at Fare's place was much better than I had imagined. Since it was my first time using airbnb, I had no idea what to expect. Everything was perfect - from the directions provided in the guide, the convenience of not having to meet up for a key (all rooms and main entrance have a pass-code), cleanliness and our very friendly housemates (staying in the other room). We were welcomed to the home, given towels, shown around the house and even shown menu's of good eats around the area. Everyone was super accommodating - we didn't have a mirror in our room, but were provided one as soon as we asked. Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit short as we were out pretty late in the night and the subway wasn't running late enough. Taking cabs was getting super pricey so we ended up moving to Harvard Square. However, if you won't be staying out til 3-4 am, I would highly recommend staying here - the train station is about a 5ish minute walk from the place.
It is very convenient with the location.
Just like my home, I feel relaxed.
We don't need to bring the key, because of the smart lock.
This was a great room for an awesome stay. It was immaculately clean, I had use of the kitchen, bathroom along with pots, pans, soap and every other amenity I could think of. The AC is a blessing in the summer and the T station takes you to downtown Boston in about 25-30 minutes. Fare was super responsive and helpful to any query I had-he was flexible enough to let me leave late as I could not move out in time with my schedule. I would strongly recommend Fare as a host to anyone-you will not be disappointed.

About the Host, Faré
I'm an intellectual and I enjoy a wide range of discussions.
As far as housekeeping goes, I'm fairly lax. As long as you follow basic rules of hygiene and good behavior, be happy the way you (website hidden): if you're in Boston and have time, don't miss the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum.
