A small guest room on a quiet street, in a nice apartment. It was decorated as a nursery for my newborn daughter.
5 minutes afoot from Alewife Station from where the Red Line will take you to Harvard, MIT, MGH or downtown in ten to twenty minutes (depending on your destination — use a maps website for commute times from Alewife Station).
The district is quiet and residential, but within walking distance of the very active Porter Sq or Davis Sq, of a shopping mall with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, and of very nice parks.
The room has a "twin size" bed, which is large for a single person. The bed would be quite tight for two people. Now, I can add a "queen size" air mattress, where one or two more people can comfortably sleep (or three, less comfortably). However, once there is the air mattress, the room becomes very small, with little space to stand. You may of course stand, sit and chill out in the living room and other common areas of the house, but your private space will be small. In summary, if you need a lot of private space, this room fits one. If you don't, it fits three. If you're young and have high tolerance for being crammed up, I've had a group of four happily sleep there and I could imagine five — though really I don't recommend more than three. (People often ask me.)
You will share a common bathroom with other guests (if any) staying in the Guest Room.
You will have access to the kitchen and living room.
The door unlocks with a numeric keycode. You will have your own keycode and can come and go at your leisure. Please be considerate of the other occupants of the apartment, and of neighbors living in other floors or nearby houses.
Be warned that the apartment is on the second floor, and there is no elevator, and there are 22 steps of stairway.
There is a parking spot available that may or may not be available. Please inquire about it if you need it.

Fare was an amazing host !!! Loved everything at his place !! My friends had a great experience as well !!! Looking forward to stay at fare's place again !!!
Good host and a good apartment :)
Cozy home, great area.
Excellent support from the owner, Fare. I will be staying there again.
I have stayed in Fare's place for three days while visiting Cambridge, MA. This was my first time using AirBnB. Fare was very responsive and prompt during booking and confirmation, his instructions were very detailed and helpful from directions how to get to his place to apartment amenities to places of interest in the area. Overall, I was pleased, would use it again during future trips to Cambridge and would recommend it to all.
I really enjoyed my stay at Faré's place. The flat is very comfortable, and the cats are absolutely adorable! I highly recommend the place.
I stayed at Faré's lovely apartment for 2 weeks. I liked that it was so close to the subway and consequently quick to get to Harvard/MIT or the city, while at the same time staying in a nice and quiet neighborhood to take walks, go running, etc. The room had a good size for me and the common areas also were very nice and spacious. I met Faré only briefly, but his cute cats on a regular basis. With the detailed provided guide and uncomplicated check-in all bases were covered anyways. Overall, a great experience and I can warmly recommend it for your stay in the Boston area.
This was the perfect place for me and Family Faré made my stay an utter joy. I hope to visit them again some day. Perfecto on all accounts. Thanks you!
I really enjoyed my stay at Fare's apartment. Even though I never met Fare I met one of his cats. Highly recommend.
I stayed at Faré's home for just one night and really enjoyed it. Faré was not home that day but Vicky, the housekeeper (?), made sure that all was well at the home. And it was.
The house is easy to get to by metro and on walking distance from Alewife station. The neighborhood was great. I went for a run early in the morning and was able to explore Cambridge and Harvard and like it a lot.
I'de recommend everyone this place.
