A guest lodge in spectacular and serene surroundings in rural Costa Rica overlooking the Islands of the Gulf of Nicoya, where the people are loving, the food is delicious and healthy, and there are wildlife and domestic animals to enjoy. Tours are extra. An hour from the beach, less than half an hour from the Gulf of Nicoya, and less than 15 minutes from a waterfall. See more.
Rancho Ricco is nearly 200 acres of some of the most beautiful views in the mountains of the Peninsula Nicoya. At once pastoral and tranquil with its rolling hills, and yet breathtaking in its sweeping views of the Gulf of Nicoya, Isla Chira and the smaller islands surrounding. Every nook and cranny of this ranch offers its own unique landscape and view. Bordered by a vast nature reserve, the property has an abundance of springs and two streams with waterfalls. So abundant is its water supply that the property provides half the water for the entire town. For move reviews, please see Trip Advisor

Interaction with guests
Enjoy as much or as little interaction as you would like. Book a private house or stay at the main lodge and share a kitchen.
A remarkably warm, loving, and supportive community in this tiny rural town. Residents are Spanish speaking and appreciate any effort you make to speak a few words in the local language, though we are available to translate. We have rural lifestyle tours and walking tours of healing herbs of the dry forest area.
There is a bus from San Jose to Carmona Nandayure where we can pick you up, or, for a fee, we can arrange a ride for you from the Liberia airport. Of course rental cars are available at either airport and are recommended for groups.
Other things to note
I will be happy to answer questions, send travel-suggestions and to-bring lists after you book.
This is a non-smoking facility. It is also a community where we are early to bed and early to rise, so we appreciate keeping noise levels down after 9:00 PM. Thanks.
