Interaction with Guests
Enjoy as much or as little interaction as you would like. Book a private house or stay at the main lodge and share a kitchen.
A remarkably warm, loving, and supportive community in this tiny rural town. Residents are Spanish speaking and appreciate any effort you make to speak a few words in the local language, though we are available to translate.
There is a bus from San Jose to Carmona Nandayure where we can pick you up, or, for a fee, we can arrange a ride for you from the Liberia airport. Of course rental cars are available at either airport and are recommended for groups.
Other Things to Note
I will be happy to answer questions, send travel-suggestions and to-bring lists after you book.
This is a no-smoking facility. It is also a community where we are early to bed and early to rise, so we appreciate keeping noise levels down after 9:00 PM. Thanks.
Our family stayed four nights in the quiet and simple accomodation of Cia. We had a lot of space and a great view to the garden and the forest. Cia invited us two times for dinner and breakfast, it was really delicious costarican healthy food! Cia gave us the possibility to get in touch with the local people and we could make two great tours: we visited an old family sugar cane factory and went by motorboat through the mangroves to the isla chira. In the mangroves we saw several crocodiles! Also our horseback riding was nice, our girls really loved it! Cia is a really nice host! The streets are really steep, you really need a 4x4 Car!
3 friends and myself had an amazin stay in Cia's house. We stayed there for three nights over NYE.
- The house is hudge and beautiful, very well decorated. You wake up with a view on the jungle which is amazing. The house can host up to 16 people as it is so big! The master bedroom and bathroom as especially impressive.
- Cia was extremely helpful, she organized activities for us (horse riding and boat tour), she also invited us over at her house for diner for great food and great conversation.
- The surrounding are very nice, with some jungle, mountains, and of course the beautiful sea nearby.
- The area isn't too turistical which is nice.
I'd definetely recommend Cia's house whether it is for a small or bigger group.
