Our lakeshore lodge in Ballycurrin on lough corrib Mayo is a hidden jewel, where Irish charm and Swiss architecture blend to create a unique and luxurious property in a location that is so stunningly beautiful, it can only be fully appreciated upon visiting
The lodge comprises of three luxury double bedrooms all (l'ensuite) and a mezzanine with a further two double beds
The living area is open planned set with a traditional Open Irish Fireplace- ideal for relaxing around with a tipple or two in the evenings complete with the sweet smell of turf in the air.
The kitchen comprises of hand crafted antique style wooden cupboards comes with top of the range appliances such as the Lacanche Cluny cooker and Bosch dishwasher.
There is also a conveniently located downstairs toilet.
Outside the house is finished with external limestone cladding, a natural slate roof and a wooden verandah extending half way around the house that leads to a raised barbecue area complete with gas barbecue.
The lodge is set in over 4.5 acres of ancient Irish Oak woodland which hosts a range of wildlife such as badger, pinemarten, hare, pheasant, kestrel and other birds.
You have complete privacy yet if you need help with anything our friendly & welcoming neighbours are located nearby.
You will have a multitude of activities to choose from such as fishing, shooting, falconry, pony & horse riding trekking, watersports and cycling.The village of Cong where the movie "The Quiet Man" was filmed is only 15 minutes drive where there are great pubs, good restaurants and shops for supplies. And with Galway City and Connemara only 30 minutes drive you are perfectly situated to take advantage of all that the West of Ireland has to offer.
