Interaction with Guests
The house has a dedicated housekeeper who can welcome guests on arrival and is on hand much of time if support or help is required.
The house is located in the beautiful parish of Kilmuir - a small, quiet and sparsely populated crofting community on the Trotternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye. From Kilmuir there are stunning views over the sea to many of the Outer Hebridean Islands and is perhaps best known for the dramatic rock formations of the Trotternish Ridge. Features on the ridge include the Old Man of Storr and The Quirang. The Skye Museum of Island Life, Duntulm Castle and a 200 year old Iron Age 'souterain' are within a short drive.
The house is conveniently located on the main bus route to other important parts of the Island including the Uig ferry terminal, and Portree, the Island's capital.
Great location & comfortable cottage. Good base for exploring Skye. Really enjoyed our time.
A very lovely, functional, and well decorated house. We were very happy with all the information/books/activities that were available. We even were invited to a ceilidh across the road at the community centre!
Thank you Graeme!
This was a very nicely equipped cottage in a lovely remote location. The interior is very comfortable with all modern furnishings and conveniences. Living area is cozy and the heated floors are great for cold/inclement weather. Great selection of books, DVDs and games for entertainment. We never saw Caron (the housekeeper), but Graeme responded promptly to messages before and during our stay. I would recommend it as a quiet, peaceful place to get away from it all, but with the option to stay connected to home as needed.
This was a beautiful home. It was in a gorgeous location. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night!

I love the misty and mystical Isle of Skye - its a magical place... especially the north of the Island. Soporific air, stunning views, dramatic landscapes, haunting seas and a rich heritage make this the perfect place to switch off and unwind.
