About this listing
I offer a clean, casual and sunny place in a quiet safe neighborhood…speedy WiFi. Walking time to train or bus 7 mins. The coffee shops restaurants bars close too. The queen bed is very comfortable with desk and I serve free coffee and tea.
I have one, sometimes two and once in a while all three bedrooms in my earth friendly San Carlos home available for two nights or longer. It's located mid point between San Francisco and San Jose just off Highway 101 and a 6 minute walk to the commuter train or bus.
I mostly host techies but some tourists too, people from Israel, Canada, Australia, Japan, Kenya, Hong Kong, India, Estonia, China, Thailand, Denmark, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Great Britian, Singapore, Belgium, a little place called The US and probably a few I've forgotten!
I share my nice modern home with large kitchen and all the amenities...even a seasonal veggie garden and bird bath. If you do not see 30 birds, squirrels and other forms of wildlife while making for your first cup of coffee, you are not looking.
Warning: the patio can lure you into hours of eating and dining pleasure.
The bathroom has a nice bubbling Jacuzzi tub.
This IS NOT an uptight place. My plates don't match my coffee cups and my forks don't match my spoons.
With few exceptions I accept two people per room only.
I have key-less entry for better security-- code upon arrival. Street parking plentiful Off street parking add $5/day.
LGBT friendly! Disability and wheelchair accessible. Great secure doors and windows in a safe and clean neighborhood.
in last kitchen cabinet on left.
Modern forced air heating with smoke and CO detectors
Spare auto inflating airbed
I DO NOT consider guests who do not have profiles posted! Hey, this is my house and I need to know a little about you! Please be prepared to show a form of official identification upon arrival.
Please enjoy the kitchen, living room, patio and laundry facilities as well as your private room. And if there's another guest here you may have to share a bathroom. But you will not share a bathroom with me.
Interaction with Guests
Some guests enjoy interaction and others do not. I interect just as much as we feel like interacting. You don't have to stay in your bedroom. There's a great kitchen, dining room, living room with the big screen digital television and an awesome patio to enjoy.
There's a quiet family oriented neighborhood close to transit. I really think that most people can get around using public transportation. The train is anywhere from $3 to $5.50 and the bus usually two dollars, even to the international airport. SFO
Excellent transportation here, very close and very reliable and there's even a small bus that comes right in front of my house upon request --very inexpensive. If you're driving I'm just a few minutes off of Highway 101.
Other Things to Note
There are a lots of bars and restaurants and coffee shops within a 10 minute walk from my house in this very safe neighborhood. Plenty of parking available. Free.
Respect my house like it was yours. No smoking inside or outside. No pets. No shoes on the carpet.
Tim was super responsive (within a matter of minutes after I submitted the first question). We rented one of his rooms for my father-in-law who was extremely happy - the house was very clean and quiet and exactly as described. We will book at Tim's again if we have visitors in town that we cannot accommodate in our own house.
Tim gave me a pleasant experience. He is very nice, the place is super clean and tidy. I would like to wish good luck on his way to Super-host on Airbnb! Thanks Tim!
Tim was an AMAZING host! Not being familiar at all with the area, he took to the time to tell me where things were and even offered one of his bicycles for me to use to explore the area. Tim is a very friendly, outgoing man, always willing to engage in conversation, while at the same time allowing me the time I needed to get work done.
The entire home was kept immaculately cleaned, and I absolutely LOVED my room. The bed was also very comfortable and being a very light sleeper, I was pleasantly surprised to have slept through the night each night I went to sleep.
If you're looking for a place to stay in this part of California, you won't find a better one than Tim's home!
Tim was a very good host. Friendly and provided a great stay. It is a very clean place and the room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The bed was very comfy. This is a 5 star listing. As Arnold Schwarzenegger once said, "I'll be back!"
Tim is an awesome Airbnb Host! One of my staff was a guest and previous employee of Airbnb. He said "out of all the places I have stayed in with Airbnb, Tim's accommodations and cleanliness beat every other host's out of the water." Keep up the awesome work Tim!
I had booked the place for Lampros who is a colleague of mine visiting our office in San Carlos using my AirBnB account.
Lampros mentioned Tim's place was quite and comfortable. Tim was out all night to work and Lampros didn't get a chance to meet him but he would be happy to recommend the place to other and himself stay when he is back at our San Carlos office.
Neat, clean, courteous, communicative - recommended.
