This 1 bedroom apartment in the Chelsea area of Manhattan on the border of the West Village. It is 1 block from the A/C/E, 1/2/3 and L Train (email hidden), and two avenues from the B/D/F/V. It'(email hidden)ly, fun and convenient spot for exploring the best of Manhattan and Brooklyn, great for walks in the West Village, Union Square and the Meatpacking District. The apartment is quite quiet for a city apartment, and my neighbors in the building are all super friendly.

LIVING ROOM: A large couch goes around two walls in the cozy living room. It is as big as a twin-sized bed, so can accommodate an additional guest. (It has gotten rave reviews from happy visitors who have had the chance to sleep on it!) The living room windows face the courtyard of the building, so it's fairly quiet. The living room is the main location of the flat screen TV, WiFi and DVD player.

BEDROOM: There is a very comfortable double-sized bed with fresh sheets, lots of clean towels, and a whole bunch of pillows to choose from. This bed is amazing and super comfy, you'll fall right asleep after a long day in the city! The bedroom gets nice and sunny in the morning, but you can pull down the blackout shades if you want to sleep in.

BATHROOM: The bathroom is compact but super clean with a new toilet, sink and full shower. Neutrogena Shampoo, Conditioner, bodywash, washcloths and a hairdryer are provided. Basic toiletries are there for your use in the medicine cabinet.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is stocked with everything -- high quality pots, pans, knives, wine glasses, a brand new coffee maker, spices and cooking oils and a new gas stove & oven. Coffee, teas, milk and sugar are always there. Great food markets are nearby: Westside Market, Chelsea Market, and the Union Square Farmers Market are close.

PLEASE NOTE -- IT IS A WALKUP: The apartment is a fifth floor walkup with no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage or a super heavy suitcase, just be advised that you have to scale five flights of stairs. The stairs are wide and easy to carry things up.

PETS! I have a small dog. The apartment is very clean, but if you're allergic, this may not be the place for you. Small pets are always welcome, but we need to discuss that before you reserve.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We had a wonderful stay at Megan's. The location simply cannot be beat. The apartment is adorable - very nicely decorated and well-kept. Megan was clear in her communication from the beginning.

Very CLEAN. The linens, towels, blankets, everything, were soft and fresh. The bed and couch were both very comfortable. Kitchen is a great size for Manhattan and the bathroom, while very small, was clean (and so cutely decorated!)

I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely reach back out to Megan for future NYC trips. It sure beats paying $$$$ for a lame hotel room. This apartment has great character, is cozy, clean and perfectly located. Loved it.

  • I stayed at Megan's place when meeting with my sister in New York. The location couldn't be any better. The place is nice and clean and communication and coordination with Megan couldn't have been better.

  • Megan's apartment was a perfect home away from home for our week in NYC. It was centrally located within easy walking distance of some yummy restaurants and Chelsea market not to mention wandering to the Village and farther afield. The subway was also just around the corner along with grocery shops to make use of the kitchen - although we only cooked breakfast as it was a bit small for anything more adventurous. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable. The bathroom is very wee but that is in the description and you do have to walk up five flights - we got our exercise! I would say the photos slightly exaggerate the "poshness" of the place. It was shabby chic. All in all a good place to call home while visiting NYC.

  • Megan's apartment is a good base from which to explore New York City, particularly the south-side neighbourhoods.
She left handy guidebooks for us to use and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with tea, coffee, juice, and even some non-essentials which were welcome when we had a sweet craving late at night!
We loved walking the High Line and eating at Westville and the Elephant and Castle over in the Village!

  • The Apartment: just perfect! Clean, beautiful, quiet, with lots of character. It is fully equipped with kitchen amenities, towels & linen, WiFi, apple TV etc'. Also the bed is super comfortable!

The Location: to die for -- the best spots of W. Village, Meatpacking, Chelsea -- just few steps away. All 7th and 8th Ave. subways lines are in a 2 minutes walk.

Last but not least -- the host: Megan is so nice, thoughtful and easy to communicate with. She was there to let us in when we arrived, explained everything there is to know about the apartment and provided us with a bunch of NYC guidebooks, maps and some excellent restaurants&bars recommendations. Even though she went on a vacation of her own, she was available for questions throughout our stay.

Thank you, Megan, hope to see you in Tel Aviv soon!

  • Megan is an excellent host, easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay, the apartment is exactly as described--clean and cozy--the location delightful.

  • An enthusiastic 5 stars! From the first email inquiry to check-out, the experience went very smoothly, and Megan was extremely responsive and accommodating - even offering to hold our bags until our flight, if needed.

Upon arrival, I met her housekeeper, who showed me through the apartment. The next 48 hours was one of those NYC weekend trips you usually only dream about -- amazing access to the High Line and Chelsea Market, and a short walk or subway ride to everything we wanted to do. (You know you're staying in the right location when you can go back and get a jacket between activities when the weather shifts.)

Loved the extra touches in the bathroom, in case we forgot anything. And really, really appreciate the Stumptown Coffee. Thanks, Megan!

  • Megan's place is absolutely great. It is indeed cozy and clean, but the best part of her apartment is that it's in the BEST neighborhood! It is clean, very comfortable, and Megan thoughtfully left some helpful NYC guides and a list of recommendations. Literally 1 block from tons of restaurants and great little bars with tons of personality. A hotel in that location would be at least double the price! We had a great long weekend and barely even left Chelsea :)

  • "Cozy" in the title is very misleading - I think small, especially in NYC. Megan's apartment is actually quite large and as I was traveling solo it was more than enough space for me. It was also very "Clean" - her cleaning lady was wrapping up when I arrived, she was there to give me a set of keys, so no better indication that the place was freshly cleaned for me! And you can tell how "Affordable" it is on your own, great price for Chelsea. Other pluses - very flexible check-in/check-out, extremely quiet (no neighbor noise OR street noise) and a powerful A/C. I'll definitely stay here again!
