What an experience, staying at Casa Mango! Angelica and Adone were very welcoming and helpful in our correspondence before coming; they made every effort to accommodate our needs, before and during our stay. We were given a tour of the grounds by Adone on arrival, including his showing us all the animals they keep there.
Adone and Angelica worked hard from sunup to (beyond) sundown to see to all their guests. The breakfasts and dinners they served were outstanding, Angelica being an amazing cook. The breakfasts included exotic tropical fruits with yogurt, including fruits that we'd never heard of. It was served on our balcony overlooking the jungle each morning. We took dinner down on the patio several evenings while there, and got to meet other guests (from various different countries). The cuisine includes fresh fish and seafood, arrachera steak, the most amazing zucchini soup, pasta made using eggs from their own ducks for extra richness, and many other options. The desserts were incredible, too; our favorite was the mango mousse.
Adone took us out one evening to show us a toucan up in a tree, knowing that we had been hoping to see the toucans since he'd mentioned them on our arrival tour. Again, he and Angelica worked so hard to see that every guest had a top-notch stay at Casa Mango, and were available to help plan any aspect of their time spent in the Tulúm area. We give them our highest recommendation, and encourage anyone who is considering a vacation in Tulúm to experience the warmth of Casa Mango!
Casa Mango was a great place to stay and experience a different side of Mexico - the peaceful jungle in addition to the ruins and beaches at Tulum. The hosts were very helpful, Adone gave several recommendations of things to do off the beaten path in Tulum and even drove us to the beach one morning since he was headed in the same direction with his daughter. The included breakfast each day was delicious, and we also ate there for dinner both nights since it's a little remote - about 20 kilometers from the main drag. All the food was amazing! The room, balcony, and courtyard were delightful. Only downside is the heat: there is a cooling unit in the room for the nighttime, but it wasn't 100% effective. Just something to keep in mind. All in all I'd definitely recommend Casa mango!
The best place we had stayed in our trip in Mexico so far. Cabanas are cute, cozy and comfortable. Host is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating with suggestions and help. Food was great home cooked meals. Will definitely stay in here again.
I couldn't of asked for better hosts. Adone and Angelica are the best hosts in Tulum. They will treat you like family! :) Casa Mango is incredibly charming. The dinner menu and farm animals are also an added bonus. Casa Mango is only a short drive to the center and it's actually quite nice to relax onsite. I highly recommend this place!
We arrived in Tulum on the fourth day of our 7-day trip in the Yucatán region. Adone welcomed us warmly and was enthusiastic about sharing his recommendations for sights and experiences. We also met their daughter (Zoe), their two lovely dogs (Jake & Lola), and their other animals.
Adone and Angelica run a very cool bed & breakfast in a small village called Macario Gomez, just 15 minutes away from Tulum by car. It's in the perfect location, far away from the commercialized areas in Tulum, and just close enough to all the local sights, cenotes, and ruins. And even Chichen Itza, although commercialized and "touristy", was well-worth the trip nonetheless.
Adone is knowledgeable and knows all your concerns: from things that are not to be missed to safety and driving in the Yucatan region, cenotes that are *must* visited... He even suggested that we take a little trip to a biosphere in Rio Legartos, while not on our itinerary, turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a rewarding experience.
Breakfast consists of delicious coffee (much better than a lot of the American offerings, even in New York City), a fruit platter, bread, butter, jelly, and mango juice. It's included in the price. You can tip Adone if you'd like.
I can't say anything negative about Adone's offerings. It's that perfect.
Volveremos pronto... Gracias!!
I stayed at Angelica and Adone's on the first day of my first trip to Mexico, and I felt very welcomed and safe. The room and patio and garden were all very clean and lovely, and by the time I left I felt enchanted by the little paradise that they have created at Casa Mango. Adone has a wealth of information that will be helpful to you for transportation and fun activities(ruins, beaches, cenotes...) to do while you are visiting the Yucatan, and there is excellent food available for dinner at the restaurant(in addition to the free breakfast). It was always fresh and delicious. As others have said, the room is above a family with a young child (sweet little Zoe), and there is singing, playing, and some crying that you can hear, but it's very quiet during usual sleeping hours. It didn't bother me at all, but if you think it would bother you, the cabanas are also very beautiful and more quiet. I would definitely stay here again!!
