  • A well setup apartment with some nice extras like a balcony and a pool. Natalia was very responsive whenever I had a question and things went smoothly with the rental details.

This is a great location for getting around DC either by metro or car and parking is available on the street unlike most of DC. Porter Street is on a bit of a hill, which I really like, but if you aren't in decent shape it may be something to consider...

Rock creek park is a very short walk which gets you great hiking and up the street to Connecticut ave there are lots of good places to eat and drink.

  • I really liked this place: clean, great location and amazing host.

Recommend to others and most definitely will stay at this place next time I am in DC!

  • SO RUDE!!! A feature of Air BNB is that you are renting from private individuals not professionals, and as such I suppose each stay is a luck of the draw.

Natalia was quick to provide directions and check-in procedures. However, it is clear her building is unaware of her Air BNB listing, as when I picked up the key from the concierge I had to pretend to be her "friend" and met with suspicious glances that created an atmosphere of sneaking around during our wkd stay which was less the welcoming.

The kicker of the trip, she wrote, quote "Please fill free to use anything in the apt except what's in the tall white cabinet next to the bar stools." Everything in that cabinet appeared to be pricey liquors (although I never opened it). I thought this was a kind offer of hospitality and I drank a cheap rose from a separate wine rack in a different part of the apt over the course of the stay. The last Air BNB home I was a guest in also offered me wine during the stay with no problem. As a courtesy, I actually planned to replace it before we left but you can't buy liquor on Sundays in DC and we left early Monday. Upon sending Natalia a thank you note after our stay, I received an insanely snippy response basically accusing me of ripping her off for alcohol and demanding a check for $13? WHAT?! Its a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved, but I've been dealing with one rude message after the other since we left. And for less than $20 after we stayed 3 nights? Craziness.

Additionally, the apt is technically 6 mins from the metro, but up a ridiculous hill that is impossible to hike up in heels (like I was in for a wedding we were attending).

    Overall, not worth it.

  • It is a great apartment, in a great location. It was well equipped, and the balcony was very nice to have, even in the rain. Natalia was welcoming and friendly; she showed us how everything worked and insisted that we use whatever we wanted from the kitchen. Shops, restaurants, and the metro were all close by. Free parking on most of the street in front of the building was useful. We'd certainly be more than happy to stay there again.

  • Stayed here 2 nights for a quick 48 hrs in DC. Was only there to sleep & shower - trying to take in most of the sights. Didn't hang out in the apt at all, though the host was accommodating, saying we could take full advantage of it. It was spring, but we experienced the tail end of their bad winter! All in all, good stay.

  • Staying at Natalia's apartment was my first airbnb experience. I stayed there with my sister. The apartment was perfect for our needs. It is very close to Cleveland Park Metro, good restaurants, a food market (and my other sisters home :)) and so is very convenient. The bed was very comfortable. We had the whole apartment to ourselves as Natalia was away. We had no difficulty getting the key from the front desk and found everything to our liking. An Excellent Apartment.

  • If you want a place to stay that makes you feel at home while you explore all the interesting things in DC then this is the perfect place. It was a closer walk to the metro than we expected (uphill one way), and the neighborhood is great. It is the type of neighborhood you feel totally comfortable walking down the well lit sidewalks after dark. Natalia, was a friendly and accommodating host.

  • The apartment was perfect for us. Convenient location, great accommodations and a Christmas Tree! We stayed over the holiday and hadn't expected to have a tree--it was really a great surprise. We used the parking in the building which made coming and going so much easier. We will plan to stay again when we return to DC. Thanks Natalia!
