I spend too much time: working
I currently live in Sidi Kaouki with my teenage son, Kai, and our many cats, dogs and donkeys. I've been in the Essaouira region for 23 years and, during that time, have renovated 5 houses in the Medina. I've worked extensively in production, using our houses as locations for photoshoots – predominantly for fashion and interiors brand campaigns or directly for media house publications (anything from glossy magazines to large national newspapers). Dar Beida was rented to a large film crew while they were filming Alexander the Great and the Kingdom of Heaven here in Essaouira. Dar Beida especially has been featured in many magazines including Elle Decoration, The New York Times and The Guardian. I work very hard to ensure all my clients see the many hidden treasures this area of Morocco has to offer. My aim is always to give clients a 5-star concierge service, an insight into authentic Berber culture and an unforgettable holiday experience so they want to come back again.
