Interaction with Guests
You will have the flat to yourself but I am happy to take calls should you need anything.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by as well as supermarkets. The beautiful Battersea Park is just down the road with a children's zoo, cafe and boating lake. Walk over the bridge to Chelsea and you'll find Kings Road for all your shopping needs.
There is a 24 hour bus that stops straight outside the apartment block, and a train station 5 minutes walk away that will get you to Victoria station in 4 mins. Vauxhall station is little over 10 mins walk away and is on the Victoria line. The Victoria Line will take you into Oxford Circus, so ideal for shopping at Oxford Street and Regent Street. Alternatively walk along the river past the Houses of Parliament to the south bank and London Eye.
Other Things to Note
Walking distance to everything. Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Tate Britain, London Eye and St James Park are all within walking distance
Please do not disturb the neighbours.
Also I'd prefer no visitors.
No smoking in the flat but fine on the terrace.
Check out is 12:00 unless otherwise arranged in advance.
The flat is perfect, fully equipped and nicely decorated. It's located just in front of the Battersea Power station ! The host is very nice and comprehensive, it would be a pleasure to stay there again !
We stayed at Richard's apartment in late Dec to early Jan. It was very clean, cozy and spacious just as shown in the pictures. It was well-equipped with housewares(esp. washing machine and hair-dryer) and we appreciate the breakfast treats and the bottle of sparkling wine prepared by Richard. The location was good as there's a bus stop right in front of the building which took us only few minutes to Vauxhall station. During the stay, Richard was very responsive to our enquiries. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we surely recommend this apartment.
We stayed at Richard's apartment at December 2014. The apartment is excellent, it is very clean, warm and has everything you need for perfect hosting. The location is very central, the bus station is right below the building and it takes you to the Vauxhall station. Everything is just as described! Richard made us feel very welcome, we contacted him several times with some questions and every time he responded very quickly, and helped us with any questions or requests. Also there are few treats in the refrigerator, which makes your stay really easy and comfortable. Great stay!
Richard's apartment was so nice! It is very spacious, clean, and he stocked it with everything you would need which made the experience so welcoming. Getting the apartment keys was easy, because there is a doorman who is available in the lobby. The neighborhood is up and coming and getting around to see major sights was easy. We used uber for our transportation and the average ride was around 7 pounds (31 pounds to Heathrow). I would definitely recommend staying at this awesome apartment. Richard was always available, and he gave great recommendations for things to do around town!
Not as described, the place is far away from all things touristy... Need taxi to go anywhere and it's extremely difficult to get one in this location. The area looks like construction site and there is a big ugly power station just as a view. The apartment is on Ground Floor and there is road noise and light.
The squeaky steel queen size bed is enough for 1 person only.
Apartment is old But just functional with good internet and heating. But feels like staying in a gated community of strangers, don't smile and say hello, very hostile and I guess they don't like this apartment rented on abb.
Will not recommend this if you are a tourist and wants to shop and sightsee in London.
Each taxi ride to anywhere touristy is UKP 20 on average.
Just done my stay and going back home.
Please read other guests reviews, as this doesn't resemble most guests experience here. My home was built 2007 and is one stop from Buckingham Palace (Battersea Park Station to Victoria) and one stop from the London Eye (Vauxhall to Waterloo). There is building works on the road, but not in my block.
I do take all feedback seriously though, and have upgraded the double bed to a kings size bed within a week of being told, please see updated photo. But having said all that, Battersea is not in Covent Garden and you would need to walk the 40 mins it takes, get a bus or tube there.
Me and my girlfriend stayed a week in Richard's home in November. It was definitely the best choice we could make for our London week! Richard's home is modern, clean, cozy and absolutely comfortable! Unfortunately we hadn't the chance to meet Richard during the week but we stayed in touch for the whole week via Whatsapp and he provided the solutions to my question all the times. He left some supplies for us at our arrive, like cereals, milk, coffee, bread, cheddar, ham and many other things, and a good bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge with tho chalices! The position is very good, there is a bus stop right in front of the building and buses for the near stations of Vauxhall and Battersea Park run every five minutes about and also a night bus runs quite frequently.
If it should happen that I'll return to London just with my girlfriend, Richard's house will absolutely be my first choice!
We stayed at Richard's place in Battersea in November 2014 and it was absolutely the perfect base from which to explore London over a long weekend with easy access to trains, buses, and the Thames river boats.
The flat itself was spotlessly clean throughout with a well appointed kitchen, and comfortable living and sleeping quarters. Richard has also thought about the little things too; there are useful hotel-like touches such as shower gels and soap in the bathroom; hairdryer and straighteners in the bedroom; guide books and maps in the hallway; and essentials in the fridge... As well as a very welcome bottle of prosecco with chilled glasses!
You will find Richard a very helpful and welcoming host who generally replies to messages within a few minutes and we would highly recommend a stay at his Battersea apartment.
