FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PLACE:
Q: Is it near the subway?
A: You won't find a home closer to the subway—literally around the corner. You don't even need to cross the street to get to it. Noise will not be a problem in the bedrooms.
Q: Do you have an elevator?
A: Yes. Or you can take 24+ flights of stairs :)
Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Extraordinarily. As is the subway, 24 hours a day. By the Pink, Red, Orange, Brown and Green line.
Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?
A: Nope! I provide all these things.
Q: What does "Flexible" check-in/-out time mean?
Q: Will I have a key? Can I come and go as I please?
A: Yes and yes. And I wouldn't trust any Airbnb listing with which this isn't the case.
Q: How do I get the key?
A: Check your reservations details when you book for detailed instructions on getting they key from the 24-hour door attendant. Email or text me if you have questions.
Q: Will I see you?
A: Only if you want to! If you'd rather I didn't exist, I understand. If you want to sip wine and talk about your trip and getting the most out of Chicago, I'm happy to (assuming I'm not slammed with work)! There are also occasions when I have to travel at the last minute. So if I have to skip town for work, I apologize, and hope you enjoy the private apartment!
Q: Can I cook/use the kitchen?
A: Definitely! Leave stuff in the fridge too. Eat from the fridge.
Q: The pictures look pretty cool. Is that how the place really looks?
A: Yes. In fact, the space is actually quite a bit larger than can be seen in the photos. There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax.
Q: Parking available?
A: Yes. $30-40/day at the adjacent lot.
Q: Is the bed comfortable?
A: Very. All brand new Memory Foam beds or premium plush-top.

This was actually my first ever Airbnb experience and there were definitely a few hiccups.
I don't think Nuna's apartment is actually anybody's home or that "Nuna" exists. I was contacted by a service called Guesty that was supposed to help Nuna with her listing, but was later informed the apartment belonged to the ZenDenChicago umbrella of properties.
The process to pick up the keys was a bit annoying and seemed a bit shady. Had to go to an apartment building a few blocks down and retrieve them from a cabinet inside of the buildings lobby. Problem was that the doorman wasn't there to let me in so I had to wait outside for over an hour to get the keys.
The apartment itself was really nice, so no complaints there.
It being my first time using Airbnb I mistakenly booked for a nigh less than I needed to stay and got a call from a guy (guessing he works for ZenDen) saying the cleaning people came to the apartment and all my stuff was still there. I asked if I could stay an extra night, but that wasn't possible, so I rushed back (luckily the office i was at was right across the street) and got all my stuff out within 20 minutes. I was still charged for late check out :(
Overall not the best first Airbnb experience, but some of that can be chalked up to it being my first time.
Please accept my apologies for the wait during check in. I'd like to
assure you that this was a one-time occurrence. We find that, checking in
at that location is usually quite efficient, so we were quite surprised
when you had to wait for the keys. We'd love to welcome you back here,
Nuna was a great host! Our stay at this unit was awesome as well. The view is incredible to say the least and the unit itself is really nice. Only set back was that it's right next to the train tracks so it can get a little noisy for some but it didn't bother me. Also the tv channels are somewhat limited.
All in all I really enjoyed staying at this unit and would without a doubt recommend this place. Thank you Nuna and the Guesty Team!
Me and my boyfriend visited Chicago on the first (cold) week of December for some business but also sightseeing. We liked the apartment of Nuna and here is a small description of our whole experience with the host and the flat:
Great communication with Nuna and her team, immediate answers.
Excellent location, in walking distance from a lot of places like restaurants, bars, groceries, etc.
Very good apartment view.Clean and spacious.
Even if the apartment was in the last floor, there was noise from the street, especially in the morning. It was not such a big issue for both of us, but you should be prepared in any case.
The apartment was a bit cold when the radiators were not on.
Not so fast internet connection.
Finally, we had an overall lovely stay in Nuna's appartement and i would recommend it.
I stayed at Nuna's apartment for two weeks and it was wonderful! The space was beautiful with a great location. The bed was a little hard, but not unbearable. Nuna was incredibly responsive and checking in and out was easy. Highly recommend
Excellent communication from Nuna from the start. Everything was clearly explained and the information given was all very useful.
The apartment itself is great. Superb location, nicely decorated and well equipped. Very good views too. Can't recommend highly enough.
We have a wonderful stay at River North Penthouse. Property was as described, very beautiful view, convenient location and very friendly host.
Absolutely positive experience, thanks for Nuna!
This listing is even more luxurious in real life than in the pictures. Definitely worth it if you are visiting Chicago.

I am Nuna, the oldest of six children in our family of eight. After several years as a Princeton Review academic consultant, I will be attending University of Chicago in the fall for a teaching graduate program.
Growing up in big family meant we never had the luxury to stay in nicer hotels or even travel by plane. We want to offer our family and friends a 5 star accommodation as a thank you for their hospitality over the years. Family, friends and colleagues are all welcome to stay when they visit us in Chicago. We only ask that you donate to a charity of your choice and help our cause to fight for education.
Our "Zen Den" has been designed to reflect our family values and ideals.
Nuna : Amazing views
Unpok: Great location
Sunoh: Aesthetic design
Myongeun: Space with personality
Eunhae - Incredible hospitality
Juhee - Easy walkability
We hope you enjoy your stay and give us feedback so we can constantly offer the best Zen Den experience to you. We currently only manage our family and friend's properties at the moment, but hope one day we can offer the Zen Den experience to everyone beyond Chicago.
