  • Julio was a fabulous and perfect host! I was sad to leave him. :) What a gem and resource for an LA newbie like me ! Julio was not only friendly, smart and engaged, but he was also extremely helpful and available by text for all of my needs. He referred me to some of the best thrift shops, mechanics, etc. The list goes on. I am so grateful to him. Staying with someone like Julio, a resident Angeleno, with so much knowledge is an incredible opportunity. And...the wee cabin is super cute! Great escape for one person. Definitely rustic. It is nestled away in the far corner of his backyard...with a beautiful and colorful garden surrounding it. His gorgeous and chill Chow will greet you each morning if you like. Such a sweet place. (There is also a patio outside the main house to hang out in.) The pictures do not do this highly manicured garden and retreat justice. Stay, stay, stay! You'll be happy you did. ;)

  • I had a wonderful stay at the Wee Cabin. Julio was a great host. He welcomes you with open arms and his dog Scout was a joy to have around. Every morning Scout would come out and great me so of course she got her morning rub down. The Wee cabin was perfect for me as I was in and out most of the time. I felt very safe and would highly recommend for you stay there. Thank you Julio .

  • I visited the Wee Cabin for 9 days and felt right at home. Julio met me when I first arrived and gave me the tour. He also was kind enough to offer me two days of off street parking until the guests at his other room arrived. NOHO was a perfect location for me to do a little of everything, and his place is right near the 170 fwy which is convenient. I also thought the size of the cabin was good for one person and has all of the basics. My only suggestion is you that should speak with Julio ahead of time about off street parking. I found that the park across the street is super popular for baseball games every night and all day on the weekends. The non-residents take up all of the residential parking and I sometimes had to re-park the car (parking across the street is not allowed overnight), or circle around several times waiting for someone to leave the game. As a single female, I did not want to park on the unlit street a block away and have to walk by myself. Again, this could all be avoided if you ask Julio about parking in his driveway. Otherwise, my stay at Wee Cabin was great !

  • We had a great stay at the Wee Cabin - everything you need in a place. Excellent for my pups who were able to have fun and roam the garden in a safe environment. Julio was very accommodating to my every request. Thanks Julio for a great stay!

  • Julio and his family were very kind. The place was emaculate, and water was provided for me which was great after a long trip NY and car ride (due to normal LA traffic) from LAX. The neighborhood was decent enough, with a few grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. I really fell in love with the area and cannot wait to come back/possibly move to LA. No complaints whatsoever. Fantastic host!

  • Delightful time staying at Julio's charming cottage in North Hollywood.

  • Due to a horrible subletting mess, I was forced to find a place to stay for a couple of weeks. I was so, so lucky to find the Wee Cabin! Such a darling little spot, quiet and sweet, and far better than a hotel would have been for a much more reasonable cost. Additionally, I was able to have my little brat dog along with me---and he had this charming, well kept yard to frolic in (along with a pal in sweet Scout the dog!).

The house is indeed wee. Sure, it's smaller than a hotel room, but who really needs more? Equipped with a microwave and fridge, it is a real money saver too. There are three grocery stores (from a dirt cheap 99 cent store to a Smart and Final to a traditional Ralph's) within a 3 minute walk, so no need to eat out all the time. One caveat: the shower is tiny. I'm only 5'5" and felt like a giant :). That said, the water pressure is excellent!

Julio is a lovely man, available but never intrusive. I am grateful to have found such a great spot to land for the time I was there. I suspect the Wee Cabin is booked often, so don't hem and haw if there's availability on your dates--you might come back to it and find it gone! Which would indeed be a shame, as this is a truly wonderful find.

  • I've been away for a day and I miss the place already! Julio is a gentleman and Colin and Irene are very welcoming! I loved the place. It suited my needs perfectly. And Scout ,the dog, ably patrolled my workouts in the garden. Lemons from the trees and a park across the way to exercise in. I couldn't have asked for anything else.
