This place is perfect! The hosts are great!
It is centrally located, within walking distance of all the famous sights of Rome and, literally at your doorstep are dozens of cafés, restaurants, bars and Piazzas.
Despite its central location in the heart of bustling Rome, it is nestled up a quiet side street, and once you close the door behind you, the apartment is an oasis of tranquility, peace and quiet, allowing for uninterrupted rest.
We will be asking Barbara and Fabio if we can stay here again on our return to Rome.
Thank you for everything - the mobile WFI device we could use wherever we went, arranging for us to be taken to and from the airport, and the recommendations for all the delicious local eateries!

Our family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 tween/teen girls) had a great stay at Suite Cartari. The apartment is very small. With the couch bed open there was not much room to move around downstairs - but we didn't go to Rome to stay in the apartment. The apartment is very clean and modern with clever ways to maximize space (the refrigerator is built in to the side pantry!). The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well after a busy day exploring. The apartment also stays dark and quiet. My only negative comment would be regarding the shower - it is very small. My husband barely fit - he is tall at 6'3" but slim. A larger person would have a very tough time. That said, many apartments we looked at didn't even have showers.
The apartment was in the most perfect location we could have asked for. It was within minutes walking of EVERYTHING. We only took taxis on the days we had early trains to catch at Termini Station. We didn't use public transit at all. For example - 2 minutes to Campo di Fiorie. 5 to Piazza Navonna. 10 to Trastavere. Great restaurants and "bars" for coffee everywhere. We were there for 10 days and it really felt like we were part of the neighborhood. So much fun!
Barbara was a great host. She arranged rides to and from the airport. They were prompt and professional (and cheaper than a taxi). Barbara and her husband met us at the apartment even though we had a late arrival. They took the time to show us around and point out many places on the map to help us get oriented. Barbara sent a much appreciated cleaner to the apartment 1/2 way through our trip and provided clean towels.
A major bonus for us was the portable wifi. It was great to be able to look up information on the spot for the MANY wonders we found every day.
Thank you Barbara! If we make it back to Roma (and I hope we do) we would definitely stay with you again!

Barbara's suite was perfect for my wife and I during our 3 day stay in Rome. Here are the things we loved best about the apartment:
1. Very comfortable--There was a large bed, a fully-fitted kitchen with everything we need to cook meals and a comfortable bathroom with a powerful shower.
2. Great location--We were able to easily walk to the Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. We never used taxis or public transportation since the apartment was so well located to all of the "must see" locations in Rome.
3. Wifi Router--The value of this can not be overstated. It was wonderful to stick the router in a pocket and have (website hidden) Maps and TripAdvisor available no matter where we went. We passed a lot of tourists who were trying to figure out where they were using the little tourist maps, but we just mapped a route with (website hidden) Maps and followed it everywhere we needed to go. We even Facetimed our kids from the Colosseum so we could share it with them.
4. Security--The apartment was on a side street with a locked door at the entrance and another to the apartment. We never felt worried about security while we were there.
5. Barbara and her husband--They were so sweet to help arrange airport transfers and then meet us at the apartment when we arrived. They spent quite a bit of time orienting us to the area and answering all of our questions. They were very sweet and helpful (and patient with our Italian) and made the trip even better. They also speak English, which was very nice.
All in all the Suite was a perfect place to stay during our trip to Rome. We highly recommend it.
When staying in Roma, you need to book Suite Cartari! It is the best location, quiet, very accomodating for 2-3 people. Barbara was quite gracious checking us in early, with many recommendations for restaurants and how to navigate the city. Absolutely a wonderful experience! The best part was the portable WiFi, that allowed us access to our fellow travelers as well as facetime folks in the USA. Thank you Barbara, when in Roma I will definitely stay again!

Our stay at Barbara's apartment was perfection! The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures - except it's even prettier in person! It smells quite lovely as well. It was impeccably clean. She provides brochures and cards for her recommended restaurants, but also offered detailed advice on her favorite restaurants(and pointed them out on the map for us). She actually gave us a map, and circled all the significant spots for us to to visit. The apartment is in the most ideal location in the city - just minutes walking distance to everything you could want to see during your stay! The Vatican was less than a 10 min walk down the street! There's a supermarket across the street, several cafes and tobacco shops just a couple minutes walk away as well. The apartment is on the ground floor, which is so nice after a full day of touring the city. There's a bus station and taxi stand around the corner as well - literally anything you could want, need, or think of, is moments away. Even with the central location - the apartment is very quiet and dark at night - so you're not woken up with the rising sun, and you're not woken up by noisy neighbors or loud pedestrians - it's quite impressive!
Barbara is also incredibly helpful. She kept in touch via Whatsapp on my phone - which was accessible due to the portable wifi device she provided us! WOW was that an amazing convenience to have!! She is a prompt communicator and is willing to answer any questions you may have. She coordinated a private car to pick us up from the airport (he was there when we landed, even though our flight was early) for 35 EU. For an extra 5 EU (it's 30 EU by taxi) you have the comfort and convenience of a private car to and from the airport - it's well worth it. When we checked out, she was lenient on check out time, which was very generous. We scheduled check out at 1030, but luckily her brother-in-law was a little early, which was nice, since we were ready for him when he arrived! The car was there at that time as well, again, well worth the extra 5EU.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Rome - I will recommend her apartment to anyone who travels there!
Thank you Barbara! I hope we can come back to stay again!
A cozy apartment with a friendly and helpful hosts! It has a really good location to move everywhere by foot, with a small supermarket and few restaurants around. We also appreciate the wifi service! Hope to go back!
Fabio,Barbara's husband, welcome us to the appartment..He was very kind and eager to answer any questions we had.Generaly the communication was ideal!
Concerning the appartment, everything was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, warm enough and the most important,in a perfect location to visit the historical centre of city!Everything was in walking distance so we didn't use at all public transportation! One more important i want to share is about a portable wifi device that Fabio gave us and makes our life much much easier(we had free wifi across town)! We definatelly go back some time!5* from me!
Three of us stayed in Barbara's Suite Cartari for a long weekend in November. We had an incredible experience!!! The apartment is very centrally located, within walking distance to all of the major sites of Rome. It is clean, comfortable, and smartly decorated. It is also quiet, which is unusual for a ground floor apartment. The three of us were easily accommodated, with the double bed upstairs in the loft and the sofa downstairs which folds out into another double bed.
Barbara was very helpful through the entire booking process as well as our stay. She arranged transfers to and from the airport, and even provided us with a mobile wifi device that gave us access to the internet where ever we were. Her recommendations for restaurants were spot-on. The food at several places she recommended was some of the most delicious food we had during our whole time in Rome.
I cannot speak highly enough of our stay and would highly recommend this apartment to everyone.
Barbara is a very friendly and helpful host, she welcomed us and told us about a couple of interesting exhibitions and explained all to do with the apartment and she gave us this mobile wifi devide that we could use around Rome and save the roaming (unfortunately we could not make it work properly).
The apartment is in a perfect location - 5 min from Piazza Navona or Campo di Fiore, it was small but very cozy, the only "problem" is that it does not have a lot of light, but in any event, you are in Rome so you should not be spending too much time in the apartment! and it is very quiet so you sleep perfectly and in
