The space
Pack your bags, food and spirits and travel to the mountains of Western North Carolina for a getaway with nature that you’ll never forget! We'll take care of the rest!
(NOTE: Reservations late October and mid-April are not guaranteed to include the outdoor shower due to freezing temperatures)

Our fully equipped spacious & private 200 sq.ft. creekside canvas tent cabin with an additional 70 sq.ft. of covered porch is well appointed to provide you the ultimate outdoor overnight glamping experience. We provide everything you will need from biodegradable toothpaste & soaps, bathrobes & slippers to cooking equipment, utensils, paper towels, cooler, ice, firewood, torch fuel and much more. The tent has a queen mattress (not an air mattress), luxurious bedding, outdoor creekside shower and private portalet. Upon arrival, your porch cooler is stocked with a breakfast bread or pastries, Greek yogurt, granola & fresh fruit for breakfast during your stay. You only need to pack your personal items, food & spirits.
Continue reading below for a full & detailed list of amenities.

The tent is suited perfectly for 2 adults, guests must be 21 years old to rent.

We will greet you upon your arrival and introduce you to your campsite and our property. You will park just a few feet away and unload your things, we’ll be glad to help if you’d like for us to.

On clear nights, you can enjoy star-gazing from the hilltop overlooking fields and pastures with minimal light pollution. Fireflies will light up the night beneath the stars during late spring and summer, as peep frogs sing from the creek banks. ISS (International Space Station) viewings occur often.

Weekend weddings are sometimes held in our farm's rolling-roof barn close by.

We live just a short distance away at our cabin if you need us. We want you to enjoy your getaway and not be disturbed by us during your stay, but know we are close by.

You will need a car (4-wheel drive is not necessary) to get to town to the grocery and other area attractions.

Guest access
You will have access to portions of our property and open air deck, with open fields and trails to enjoy. With the barn and immediate area around it often reserved as a wedding venue, unfortunately it isn't available for visits.

.............
We are located 1/2 mile from a convenience store and fresh produce stand and 4 miles to a small local convenience market and produce, 12 miles to Waynesville/Canton for larger grocery stores, Publix, Ingles, Walmart and more shopping and dining options.
..............

Due to the natural outdoor environment in which we are located and the fabrics and canvas of the tent, as well as comfort for future guests, we do not allow family pets. Thank you for not asking.

...................

No groups or special events are allowed unless approved by the owners. If you have friends in the area wanting to visit you during your stay, please, no more than 4 additional visitors and be aware that quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. No additional overnight guests please.

...............

We don't mind you enjoying your adult beverages while at the tent, but we do not allow the presence or use of illegal drugs.

...............

Smoking is not allowed inside the tent or on the tent porch. The canvas absorbs odors easily and we have invested in the best canvas wall tent on the market for your use and the use of others.

...............

Be aware of having food and beverages inside the tent and don't leave those items out. Be certain to store those items in a plastic storage box provided. We, and you, don't want unwanted critters inside the tent.

We will provide you with plastic bins with lids to keep your belongings in. They currently hold extra blankets, but are available for your use. Due to natural production of condensation inside the tent, depending on humidity levels, you might also want to leave some clothing in your car parked close by if you choose.

...............

Keep your trash gathered and in provided closed containers. Please use the outside cans for food garbage. The kitchen shelf garbage bag needs to be tied-up nightly and placed into the larger garbage can just past the large wood pile, be sure the lid is on tightly.

...................

Limited electricity is provided by way of a fully charged double battery pack. Use of the electricity should be limited and used only as necessary, such as lighting before bedtime and cell phone charging. No hair dryers please. The battery packs contain a USB port.
There are flameless candles with a remote for lighting and flashlights and headlamps are provided. String lighting and Tiki torches are provided for outside.

We ask you to arrive before dark, (usually by 6:00 p.m., earlier as days shorten and the time changes) in order to acclimate yourself to the tent site and surrounding area during daylight hours. Especially if you plan to cook dinner upon your arrival.
