Built in the mid-1990s and lovingly restored, Fellsmörk Mountain Cabin offers a unique Icelandic summerhouse experience. Powered by solar energy and fed by fresh mountain spring water, this charming cabin combines rustic simplicity with the comforts you need for a memorable stay.

• Gas heater for extra warmth
• Hot shower with mountain spring water
• Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and all the goods for cooking a meal.
• Small refrigerator powered by solar energy

Outside, enjoy one of the cabin's most magical features: A traditional wood-fired hot tub! Take in the fresh mountain air, soak beneath the midnight sun during summer or watch for the Northern Lights in late summer / early fall, or watch for the Northern Lights in late summer / early fall!
Unplug & Reconnect... This is a true off-grid experience!
::Special Notes::
- There is no Wi-Fi, intentionally allowing you to disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature.
- Spend your days hiking directly from the cabin, exploring nearby glaciers and waterfalls, or simply relaxing with a book by the fire.

The cabin is tucked away in a peaceful mountain setting with virtually no tourist traffic, yet remains within easy driving distance of South Iceland's most famous attractions:
• Dyrhólaey – 25 minutes
• Sólheimajökull Glacier – 25 minutes
• Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach – 35 minutes
• Town of Vík – 25–30 minutes
• Skógafoss Waterfall – 40 minutes
• Seljalandsfoss Waterfall – 50 minutes
::Important Access Information::
- A 4x4 vehicle is REQUIRED to access the cabin. No exceptions.
- The cabin is located on a mountain road, and standard passenger vehicles are not suitable for the drive. Guests must arrive in a properly equipped 4-wheel-drive vehicle. We strongly recommend confirming your rental vehicle meets this requirement before booking.
Good to Know's:
• Designed as a peaceful retreat for 2 guests. But know, a special arrangement can be made for a family of 3-4 people.
• No parties, events, gatherings, or commercial filming is permitted without in advance permission and permits.
• Loft area is private and not part of the rental (it is a private owners storage space).
• Wood-fired hot tub requires approximately 3–4 hours to heat (you need to physically add the wood and stir the water).
• Off-grid solar-powered property with limited electrical capacity (charging phones and other smaller devices like a tablet or laptop is possible, but nothing else).
• No hairdryer.
• There are lots of books to read, connection games for couples, dominoes, connect four, and card games (like different versions of UNO).
