Enjoy a unique experience aboard a motor yacht docked at a secure marina surrounded by the campus of the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg and located a short walk from the restaurants, sights and sounds of downtown St. Petersburg's waterfront on beautiful Tampa Bay.
Staying on John and Martha's yacht was such a lovely experience and a wonderful addition to our Florida vacation. The yacht is beautiful, large, clean and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The marina and neighbourhood were extremely safe and the people we met were incredibly friendly. We were also lucky to have Jeff, the conceriege at the marina, show us around and provide some restaurant recommendations within walking distance. We can't wait to visit again!
Our host John came up as soon as we arrived. He showed us the ins and outs of the yacht and of the clubhouse area. It is a beautiful setting and interesting so see all of the other boats also. We had no car so did lots of walking to the store, the Dali , and the Farmers Market and lots of local exploring. I can see why people come here in the winter. It is a beautiful place.
It was great getting up in the early morning and going up on deck to enjoy the outdoors in a secluded setting.
WOW so now we can write this off our Bucket List! It was a grand experience even though the weather wasn't as grand. At least it didn't rain! Jeff met us and stayed in touch as much as we needed him. Thanks Jeff. All was truly excellent, clean and so comfortable with all we needed!
Thanks so much John and Martha
Loved it! Our first Air BnB experience! Wonderful yacht and close to down town St. Petersburg. Love the trolley. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone. Much nicer than hotel experience.
Had a fabulous long weekend on the Zumwalt's great yacht. Essentially a three bedroom, two bath house on the water. For a landlubber, it's a great way to enjoy a nautical experience without having to learn anything. The bathrooms and kitchen are like in an RV and easy to use. There are two outside decks topside to lounge on to watch the sunrise and sunset, and the queen size bed in the master cabin is really comfortable. Even though our weekend was a bit on the cold side (for St. Pete), the topside decks are enclosed with transparent plastic which can be unzipped for the breeze or battened down to keep you warm, when it gets cold. The pictures don't really convey how attractive the interior is. Just hanging on the boat was a blast, but it is also a 15 minute walk to the Dali Museum, and then another ten or 15 minutes to downtown St. Petersburg, for lots of nightlife, restaurants, and the Fine Arts Museum. The Marina itself is very user friendly, with laundry facilities, and a lounge, vending machines, etc. People in the marina were all very friendly, and while there are some people who live on boats there, it is also very private. This definitely something that we'll be doing again.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying on your boat. It was convenient to downtown St Pete and offered to beauty of the bay on board. Thank you!
Wonderful weekend on the yacht La Familia. Located in a secure marina close to museums and restaurants. Very comfortable experience and can hardly wait to return.

Martha and I are living a Christian life with extended family and friends, farming, faith, favor, fun and fulfillment in Odessa, Florida. We are boating folks blessed with blue water sailing New England on S/Y Acadia (Newport, Rhode Island) during the summer season and coastal cruising Florida on M/V La Familia (St Petersburg, Florida) during the winter season.
