House Rules

NOTE this is one of our smaller rooms 1 METER SPACE AROUND THE BED.The only house rules we have are to be mindful to us, to other guests , to the environment , and to yourself. Please be aware we have Wifi but, can be hit and miss on some days. But, don't worry there are many cafes near by with wifi. I also would like to let you know we are in the middle of construction on a second building next door to our rooms, where we will have a restaurant and a couple of new rooms. At this time construction has STOPPED for the time being, so NO NOISE , but there is a building half done. Because of this we have taken 10% off of our normal prices for rooms at this time.
When it comes to smoking, we would like it done outside on your Balcony and not in your room.
If you are traveling with small children please be aware that we are located on the edge of a High Ravine. You are responsible for your children , please watch over them :)
We hope that all guests can truly relax and enjoy themselves while staying with us in Bali.

Very nice place to stay in ubud, away from the noise, but still in central location. You can walk to go to ubud main road. Very nice hosts.

This is my first time writing a review with a negative touch to it, and I don't feel good about it. However, I've been coming to Bali many times during the last 6 years and stayed in pretty much any type of accommodation that you could think of, from sleeping on a mat on a floor for $2 a night to fancy resorts and everything in between. Hence I think I might be able to give you a good idea of what this place is like and what it's not. First off, the hosts in this place are lovely and communication has been great. I was pleasantly surprised to have been able to make a booking on the same day and have Ibu and her husband pick me up from the airport late at night. The homestay is in a good location and it is very quiet. Quietness is a great asset in homestays in Bali, as it happens fairly easy to be woken up by dogs or roosters from 5 am in the morning onwards, or a construction site next door. Breakfast was good as well and nice to have it included, although you get that in just about every homestay in Ubud. Now what wasn't great about it and why I wouldn't stay there again: The pictures are heavily photoshopped and do not represent the current condition of the room. That's fine for me in Bali and I don't have high cleanliness standards, but hey a mosquito net without holes in it and a new mattress when you start feeling the springs on it is about the bare minimum I'd like to have. Ibu offered to put me in one of the bigger rooms for my third night for the same price, which was a nice gesture but ultimately still overpriced, given that they didn't clean the room between guests. They made the bed and put a new towel in the room, but the used towel from the previous guests was still there and so were their hair on the bed and their trash in the bin. I ended up leaving late at night on my third night as a friend offered me a lift to where I planned on going to the next day and it's been great to avoid day time traffic. Ultimately it's a give and take - lovely host in a good and quiet location, however, a couple of things really need to be upgraded on top of more consistency with the room cleaning.

Ibu is very friendly. The place is only a few minutes (by foot) away from the main street and the big market. Very relaxed and calm. Rooms are very clean. Ibu makes some fantastic pancakes, I will miss them My only complaint, a minor one though, is that the wifi reception is quite terrible if nonexistent in some rooms. All in all a clear recommendation!

It was such a nice time in Ubud. I really appreciate the friendly and helpful stuff. Ubud city is so close but the noise so far. Ibu can cook so amazing and is always there to help and plan your trip.

Lush and calm environment. Ibu was a welcoming host. The walk down behind the accommodation is unmissable. There is a long narrow road (accessible by motorbike and on foot) lined with shops and restaurants including Sari Organik. Ubud is great, would have much liked to stay longer!
