About this listing
Located in Tacoma, WA. The cabin looks out onto the Puget Sound. The house is built on pilings and the tide comes up under the house. 208 stairs divide the cabin from the rest of the world. This is a unique place for someone who likes adventure.
This is an amazing place built over the water in a historic community. People who come here should be ready to walk up and down 208 stairs. Don't expect fancy--expect beautiful views and the sound of the water. The cabin is clean and cozy with everything available to cook.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen including dishes, pans, and bowls.
Towels are available.

There is a bus stop 15 minutes walk on Pearl and N. 51st that goes to downtown Tacoma.

Stayed at the cabin three nights with my daughter--what a simply beautiful place! We felt so lucky to get to spend time at this really special hideaway. Kelly has a real artist's eye for color and texture--the interior is as warm and welcoming as it is pleasing to the eye, and the view out the front is unbeatable. Also, I miss the loft bed!!
Two sweet and peaceful nights. Great little cabin, over the water, perfectly decorated. Vintage Salmon Beach. Host was not there with us but very attentive and helpful via text. Thank you!
208 steps isn't something to laugh at, nor is it something that should keep you away from this wonderful community! The cottage was clean, well decorated, and cozy, the deck wasn't the largest, but it had a beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time staying at the beach cabin and it was just what we needed to cap off our vacation to the Pacific NW. It was quiet and private - any time we did see a neighbor, they were exceedingly nice and helpful. It's definitely a different experience than staying in a hotel with everything taken care of - but different was what we were after. The stairs could be a challenge for some, but we had no issues.
Thanks again for a great experience and keep enjoying your cabin. We would definitely come back.
The cabin was great. Located right on the water, and worth the excersize of the stairs.
Friendly neighbors, the sound of the water, amazing views of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the sound.
Am looking forward to future stays.
Kelly is wonderful to work with!
Kelly's place was so comfy and cozy and the neighbors were so friendly! Nothing like the cool river breeze to fall asleep and wake up to!
Awesome cabin. Great location, great space. Quiet and serene. Couldn't have been happier.
