Located in Tacoma, WA. The cabin looks out onto the Puget Sound. The house is built on pilings and the tide comes up under the house. 208 stairs divide the cabin from the rest of the world. This is a unique place for someone who likes adventure.
This is an amazing place built over the water in a historic community. People who come here should be ready to walk up and down 208 stairs. Don't expect fancy--expect beautiful views and the sound of the water. The cabin is clean and cozy with everything available to cook.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen including dishes, pans, and bowls.
Towels are available.

I had such an amazing weekend at this cabin. Kelly was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The cabin was cozy with amazing views of Puget Sound. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to go. It was also walking distance to Point Defiance Park with trails and hiking and even more beautiful views.
This place is the perfect weekend getaway. So peaceful and cozy. I really haven't felt that relaxed and detached in a long time. I loved the cabin decor and hearing the sound of water beneath. The upstairs does have a low ceiling, but thats what adds to this rustic gem. Kelly gave great directions to the place and had fantastic recommendations for the area. Highly recommend staying here!
Absolutely amazing view. Great communication from Kelly. Definitely going to recommend this listing to friends.

What a gem! This cabin is pure magic. The stairs are no joke, but they're well worth it for the beauty and quiet afforded by the location. We had a lovely stay, and Kelly was helpful, kind, and very responsive with the few questions we had.
Pros: unique location directly over the tide, beautiful sunsets and wildlife, very clean, nice neighbors, accommodating host. Limitations: loft bedroom ceiling so low that you can't sit straight up in bed or stand up in the bedroom space - like sleeping in a pup tent. Between that and the very long flight of access stairs, this lodging is definitely not for the physically inflexible or out-of-shape visitor.
