  • Daniele (email hidden). He was at the apartment when we arrived and spent a good hour giviing excellent tips about what to see, and where to find good, non-touristy restaurants on a very good map which he provided. The apartment was clean, spacious and lovely, room for three and Daniele provided extra sleeping accommodations for my nephew. We loved the view of hills and mountains from the kitchen terrace. Easy access to all the historic sights, bus lines in quiet neighborhood away from tourists. Three very good nights of sleep! Thank-you, Daniele!

  • Daniele (email hidden). When we arrived he spent quite a bit of time answering our questions and giving great advice and directions on the city itself. It's definitely thanks to him that we got a more authentic glimpse of Florence. He was very quick to resolve any problems we had (note: don't use too many electronics/washer/dishwasher at once or the power will cut out) and generous with his time, letting us leave our (email hidden) while we explored a little more of Florence on our last day in the city.

As for the apartment, it's located at the top of a flight of stairs that could leave those out of shape a little breathless, it's very close to a supermarket which turned out to be ridiculously convenient for us, it's central but not too central - it's far enough away to get some peace and quiet.

Overall I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if this is your first time in Florence.

  • The place was just as shown in the photos, the neighbourhood was quiet, Daniele gladly met us at the station to help us with luggage and to show us the way to the accommodation, he also fixed a small problem we had immediately, the apartment was large and bright too. Walk to centre of town is doable and carrying bags up 3 flights of stairs requires a certain level of health and fitness. Reasonable value when considering distance from main tourist sites.

  • Hi Daniele, thanks for all the tips on where to eat especially the pizza and gelato. Gelato near your apartment is even better than the world best found in Siena. Florence is the only place that we did not buy the metro bus card because everywhere can be reached by walking. Thank you and Ciao!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Daniele's very much!! The apartment is HUGE and airy with a great big bed and wonderful balcony. The supermarket near is deluxe and the coffee shop across the street is owned by a most kind and personable gentleman. Walk to center of town is quite doable. You must be fairly fit to make the stairclimb to the apartment with even a small suitcase.

  • Daniele met us at his wonderful apartment. He had a map and took a lot of time to show us how to use the bus or walk to everywhere. He told us about local restaurants and shops. So kind and helpful. The apartment was great. Irene

  • My friend and I stayed at Daniele's place in April, and it was pretty perfect! It was about a nice 15-20min walk from the Florence train station, and his place was very clean and very spacious! Daniele was also really nice and gracious, even offered to pick us up from the airport, and gave us a few tips and suggestions of where/what to do in Florence. My only tip is if you are walking, to follow Daniele's directions on how to get there- I had his directions, but followed (website hidden) maps, and it was completely wrong.

Overall, it's a very nice place, in a great location and Daniele was very nice and helpful, I only wished we had more time here!

  • This was an amazing apartment! The location was very convenient and so close to San Spirito, which I loved. It was wonderful to have (email hidden) for my friend and I. Having a private apartment in Florence was perfect. There was some miscommunication during check-in, but it was quickly resolved and wasn't an issue. Daniele is an excellent host and very communicative in helping with transportation details. I would highly recommend and come back if I am ever in Florence again!

  • Our stay at Daniele's was perfect! He and his sister were excellent hosts!
After Daniele welcomed us into his place, showed us around, and then went on his way - we realized we were a little cold and were hoping to turn on the heat. I texted Daniele to ask about it - and he was quick with responding and giving us instructions on how to use the heat if we were too cold. (Turns out, we acclimated to the temperature and didn't need to use any type of heat. The temperature ended up being quite ideal actually.)
Daniele was also VERY flexible with check-in and check-out - which was amazing. We had an early flight, so we arrived in the morning. He allowed us to check in at 1100 (and was willing to come earlier as well) and then allowed us to check out at 1600 on our last day! He even offered to hold our luggage while we toured the city more if he needed to rent out the apartment to new guests that day. That was really key to us being able to enjoy our stay - his flexibility was ideal.
Daniele was prompt and very easy to contact and communicate with. Anytime I messaged him for information, he responded quickly and with any information I needed.
The apartment is large too. It was just my husband and me, and we had great space to lounge, keep our luggage/purchases, eat, etc. The apartment is on the top floor though - just an FYI. You'll get your exercise getting to the top, but it's worth it and it's a nice location to be. There's a small balcony with a decent view. We really enjoyed sitting back there.
I think the best part of the apartment (aside from the host flexibility) is the location. You're nestled inside of a handful of really great Italian restaurants - far removed from the tourist places that will overcharge you and you lose the quality of a genuine Italian restaurant. There's also an amazing supermarket right around the corner - we had a lot of fun shopping through there!
You're a short walking distance to everything significant in Florence, but far enough removed that you're not dealing with the annoying aspect of being in a touristy area. We flew into Pisa and took the train to Florence. We walked from the station to the apt - and it was a pretty short walk. But when we left, we didn't want to carry all of our things (we'd made some purchases in the leather department of Florence....) so we grabbed a cab within seconds of walking out of the apartment.
I really want to come back to Florence, and I will absolutely try to rent this place again. A great deal, for a prime location and excellent hosts!
