We really loved staying in little tree house! The host is very friendly and very helpfull! The open livingroom is awsome and they offer great food (wich costs extra). The rooms were cleaned every day and are furnished in typical balianese style. We had a really nice stay!
Little Tree House was a lovely place to stay. The garden and pool were delightful and everything was very clean. The service was great, very helpful staff and a good breakfast. It is more of a traveller's place with a communal feel but if that is what you want then it is perfect. Great laundry service and the room cleaned every day. Very good wifi.
So hard to say goodbye to Little Tree after a week's stay! Both the charming villa and hosts added greatly to what was overall a great time in Bali :) A special thanks goes to the driver, Dewa, who chauffeured us around the island and was fun, kind, and helpful while showing us the "real" Bali away from the resorts. Little tree is the perfect place for travelers looking for a peaceful and moderately priced accommodation that still has most of the comforts of the higher prices resorts, and perhaps a bit more authenticity. My only note is that he villa has some noisy neighbors- the roosters next door had us up at the crack of dawn every day- however ear plugs and being exhausted from full days of Bali adventures made it not such a big deal! Once you are in the Bali state of mind, nothing seems like a big deal anymore! :)
The place Is really beautiful and peaceful. We arrived really late because our flight has been delayed but The driver, Dewa was still waiting for us (thank You again!!). The room Is exactly like The pictures, The location in Sanur Is great close to The beach. I would definitly come Back again :)
Little tree house was a lovely place. It was very nicely decorated with real tropical feel. The room was beautiful, bed was comfy and the over bead net worked nicely as a mosquito net. I enjoyed my time there. The only minus was, that you could hear very clearly the next door neighbour and the staff's area downstairs from the bathroom and the other way around. This is a open air plans negative side. I didn't get too bothered about it, but the next door neighbour did, according to the comments she gave. The staff, Dewa and his wife and all the other staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. I rented a bike for the 4 days I was there and used Dewa to take me to the airport. It all worked very smoothly. Over all a good experience.
Little Tree House is a lovely spot to stay and the rooms are very adequate. The common area and the pool are great and the staff amazing….especially Desak the cook. The giant jacaranda tree that dominates the front is a bit of a nuisance as it is continually dropping fine leaves which blanket everything….pool included.
Unfortunately there is a villa being constructed across the road so we had 5 days of jack hammering and concrete saws running most of the day. This got a little annoying as the noise made it difficult to hold conversations. After that most of the noise consisted of hammering and some electric planes or drills. It will be a while before construction is finished so you may want to factor that into any bookings.
Eleven friends rented the entire villa so we had it all to ourselves. There was some question about the additional costs involved in renting the entire villa as opposed to renting out all the rooms individually. It actually cost us an additional US$1025 over and above what it would have cost had we each booked a separate room
The reason for this was explained to us by the owner that it was actually an inconvenience for her that we booked the entire villa. That’s nice to hear when you have paid $US3500 for 9 nights to be told you’re an inconvenience.
It was explained thusly: On average we sell a room at $45 per night there are 6 rooms which equals to $275 a night x 9 = $2,475. You are paying $388.88 x 9 = $3500
Your extra amount covers $113.88 extra per day. Covers
1. Me having to stay in another hotel eating out every day $50 with my children…. 2. Staff bonus because they aren't making any profit $10…..3. More electricity usage as guest that are individual tend to stay out from morning till evening 15% more. $10 a day ….$70 extra of my expenses a day……So relatively speaks for all the inconveniences $43 maybe extra a day.
Odd that we met some former guests who told us the owner and her family actually live full time in another villa they own and not at Little Tree.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but we put that down to the company and the fact that we were on holidays in beautiful Bali. Would we stay there again?? Definitely not while construction was going on nearby and not by booking the entire villa.
