Beautiful, sunny two-floor apartment in a Victorian two-flat, with four bedrooms, period detail, cozy furnishings. On a tree-lined, dead end street in historic urban neighborhood, 12 minute walk to Orange line or Silver line T, and 30 minutes door-to-door to most downtown locations. Off-street parking, huge public swimming pool across the street. Wifi, apple TV, free laundry room, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances.
When my daughters and I are not here, there are four bedrooms available plus a pull out couch in a separate room, house can sleep ten people. When I am here without my daughters (about half the time), I have three rooms available to sleep up to six people. I do not have a separate rate for one room or the full house, the rate is based on the number of guests.
Guests will have full access to house, kitchen, porch and yard.
Interaction with Guests
I can host guests when I am away, or when I'm here but my daughters are not. If you stay when I'm here, I will generally be working in my studio or out. I'm happy to provide tips and help if you would like, and if you would prefer to be left alone I can do that too! I am very easy-going, discreet and respectful.
My neighborhood is a lively and urban, yet surrounded by parks. My block has old brick sidewalks, Victorian houses, and friendly neighbors. If you're into basketball, tennis or swimming, they're all happening at the park across the street. Quick drive or 20 minute walk to two different neighborhoods with great shopping and cafés.
The Orange Line T (Jackson Square) is about a ten minute walk.
Other Things to Note
Because of the park across the street, in the summer the house can be noisy! But air-conditioners in all the bedrooms provide white noise.
There are real beds for eight, one pull out couch, and two single air mattresses available, as well as a crib in the basement if you need it. Linens, sheets, towels, kitchen staples, breakfast foods, and basic toiletries provided. Games, toys and books are here for your use, make themselves at home. Please leave the house in the condition that you found it. Thank you!
Kate gave clear instruction for arrival and stay. Neighbour hood in a re generation stage, looked better by day. 10 minutes from Jackson station and only 10 minutes from downtown on the subway.
Kate is a quite, organised and thoughtful host. She puts everything in place and despite being there, is completely unobtrusive.
It's a quite house in a quite locality. It's a safe locality and quite close to many different areas of boston. It's close to jackson square T, plus the Uber to downtown takes just $10
The house worked very well for our group's needs. Kate welcomed us with nice notes including instructions and tips about the area, so we felt very welcome. We enjoyed exploring Boston. The cats in the house were more of a presence than we anticipated, and the living room was a bit small for our group of six to hang out all together. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.
This is a spacious home in an area of Boston that is not too far from the centre or the airport. It is suitable for family visits to the area- we were a group of 8/9 there for a family wedding. Walking to the 'T' takes about 10-15 minutes. The cats know when you are leaving and tend to get to the doors first so be aware of that.
The house was very tasteful, spacy and comfortable. The two cats were very nice. Sometimes the neighbourhood was loud because of the main street nearby. That was to be expected in Boston.... We were quick in the city of Boston. Thank you for beatyful weekend in Boston.
