Our house is on a long quiet block in SE Portland. Here in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood you can enjoy quiet rambles down tree lined streets to our local city park, Mt Tabor, a dormant volcano! A walk to the top of the mountain is a great way to start the day before you head down to the Hawthorne neighborhood to check out Powell's Books on the Eastside, the historic Baghdad theater, or the infamous Space Room. Later, catch the bus to downtown or to the west side to visit the Japanese Garden, Pioneer Square , Voodoo Donuts or the late night music scene. Bus to the light rail (airport connection) is 2 minutes away. We are a couple who lives on the first floor of a spacious 1920's bungalow. You would stay in our large extra bedroom with full access to our living room, kitchen (including fridge), porch and back yard. Your bedroom has a queen size mattress and bed, half dresser, closet, clothes steamer, and two windows which light the room. And bring your bikes - you can store them in our locked garage when you're not pedaling around Portland.
The bathroom is shared.
We also have a new car (Kia Soul) that could be available to you for an additional hourly or daily fee.

Great location and very accommodating hosts. Really enjoyed our stay.
Very comfortable and welcoming, a great place to stay.
Nat and Eleyna were super friendly and kind hosts. The room is spacious, pretty and clean and the pillows are extra fluffy. We very much enjoyed our stay!
Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Very easy going, relaxed home, friendly and accommodating, bed was super comfortable and felt very at home and welcome at all times.
Great accommodating host (Nat)! Provided excellent food stand recommendations. House is cozy and clean. Would stay there again. Thanks!
This was my 1st Airbnb experience. I only spoke with Eleyna on the phone but personally met Nat and their new housemates. Everyone was super welcoming and kind. The new housemates (Karamjeet and Ingrid) were beyond awesome with me when I arrived. They put me at ease since I was sick, traveling alone to a city that I have never visited. When I met Nat the following night, he was so caring and he pulled out all sorts of vitamin C supplements. The home was very cozy and I felt like I was visiting friends. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I thank them all for being so great with me.
Really lovely home and we felt welcome and got good informations...where to go, what to do and how to get around.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Portland. Cozy little house right beside one of my favorite parks, Mt. Tabor, where you can walk or bike as much as you like.
The room is very comfy and clean. Great wifi. Quiet. Eleyna & Nat are friendly and welcoming. You'll feel at home here from the minute you show up. I like them very much and would certainly recommend this stop-over to everyone.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Nat and Eleyna while visiting Portland. They were very helpful and friendly, making us feel at home. The room is a nice size and the bed is comfortable!
There are a lot of choices for AirBnb stays in Portland but you won't regret hanging your hat at Nat and Eleyna's place on upper Hawthorne. The location is perfect- close to Mt. Tabor for walks in nature and a short hoof down to the shops, bars and restaurants on Hawthorne. Their house was clean and cozy, the bed comfortable, and the ambiance quiet and peaceful. What's not to like... My one regret was not having time to get to know my hosts better. Next time...
