Guests love this home’s scenic location.

Featuring spectacular views, absolute privacy, and abundant wildlife, with an in-ground pool, an indoor wood burner, natural spring feed creek and rain-forest.

Queen size fold out sofa bed with mattress topper.

The space
Unwind from the daily routine and recharge among the natural tranquility of this beautiful area, where it is so easy to really feel at one with nature.

We absolutely love this piece of paradise, however the kitchen and bathroom may seem a bit dated, the cutlery and utensils are not matching, but fully equipped and functional. There are also no curtains (except bathroom) so you can always see your surrounds and night sky. The tank water is drinkable, but may not be crystal clear - bottled drinking water is supplied.

This is a beautiful spot, and we hope you enjoy staying here, however please only expect what you see in photos or read in description.

We ask that you are respectful of floors and furniture regarding pets.

In the Australian bush / rainforest - a general warning about native animals like snakes, goannas, ticks, leeches, bull ants, especially if your dog is likely to run off into the long grass or bush.

It is normally about 2 hrs drive from Brisbane, however it will take longer in Friday afternoon traffic.

Also for a nice scenic drive you can go behind the Hinze dam, past Natural Bridge and thru Numinbah, and into Tyalgym via Limpenwood before getting to the yurt.

Guest access
The property covers over 42 acres, and has a number of walking tracks, pristine views, and a natural creek.

The in-ground pool is great over summer, and the indoor wood burner is fantastic for those cosy winters.

Wifi is available via satellite internet and has limited data available in prime time.

Telstra network has good coverage, Optus is patchy and unreliable, Vodafone will not work.

There are no free to air tv channels and all tv access is via satellite internet. Downloading and watching a movie is fine to stream, however watching the tv will quickly use the limited data available.

Other things to note
The property backs on to the World Heritage-listed Wollumbin National Park, formerly known as Mt Warning National Park.

The summit of Mount Warning is the 1st place in Australia to see the sunrise. It is an 8.8 km, 5 hour return hike into the rain-forest, finishing with a steep climb providing breath-taking 360 degree views around the ancient caldera with coastal views stretching from The Gold Coast to Byron Bay.

*Note* currently closed (lots of other walks / tracks available) - It is a short 20 min drive to the start of the hiking / climbing track. Please check local information before attempting a climb.

The property is also located approximately 40 min drive from the Gold Coast International airport.

Neighborhood highlights

**Note**
A landslip approx 1km along Tyalgum Rd from the property, has the road open via a single lane with traffic lights towards Tyalgum.

The village of Tyalgum is 5 min down the road and offers a general store, coffee shop, and pub along with some specialty shops and village markets on the last Sat of the month.

Murwillumbah is 15 min nearer to the coast and has supermarkets, petrol stations and more shops. Best to stop here for supplies when going to the yurt.

Uki is a small interesting village south of Murwillumbah near the entry to Mt Warning.

Clarrie Hall Dam is about 10km from Uki and is great for fishing.

The Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Ollie Art Centre is in south Murwillumbah is fantastic and a must for Margaret Ollie and art fans in general.
