Staying at Gert place was my first AirBnb experience. I was a bit nervous cause I booked the stay spontaneously. But everything went so good that i decided to continue using airbnb.
Gert was a very kind host: he bought the food for my first breakfast, explained in details the facilities and the city places, helped me to plan my stay in Essen etc. I saw him only once, and hope to see again if I come to Essen.
Definitely, worth staying place!
Super Unterkunft, super nette und sehr behilfliche Gastgeber. Ich bin sehr begeistert.
Gert's flat is palatial: The furnishings are high quality, the flat is quiet, and it has everything anyone could ever want, including easy access to the trams and bus to the Essen center, a supermarket, and close by laundry.
The internet is fast, and kitchen spectacular. Gert has even provided bags to use when visiting the market, the bus schedule is posted on the wall, recommendations on various nearby restaurants, as well as advice on how to navigate Essen in general.
I was attending the Essen Game Fair at the time and he was even nice enough to provide a useful walking map to beat the crowd at the tram. I would definitely consider restaying at Gert's flat if I decide to attend Essen next year and would encourage anyone to stay here.
I lived with Gert in a week, the place is an apartment where he has his office, and here it is a small fine modern kitchen and downstairs there is a large sleeping room.
Gert was in his office during the days when I was working in Dusseldorf, so I met him only once. but it was important to him that I had a good stay, he emailed me because there were errors on Trains, so I had to take another Trains and make suggestions on running routes. and suggestions for what to see in Essen.
Quite a nice place in a great location in Essen. Friendly host and clean apartment. Happy to be Gert's guest again in the future.
Mr. Gert is a very nice and humble man. He made me really comfortable in the apartment. He gave me good suggestions and helped me in grocery shopping once. The apartment is really nicely decorated with all the amenities included. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to rent the apartment.
The place was impeccable, decorated in a very modern style, with good taste and very quiet.
I did not get a room but the whole apartment for me :) The kitchen was fully equipped so I invited a guest to dinner. Being a German that travels a lot, he was impressed by the low price and the high quality of the apartment. The apartment was for me a real treat. I felt at home. He and his wife were so nice to put some lady products in the bathroom.
The location is great: near the major attractions like museums and the Techno Klassika Weltmesse which I was attending.
I enjoyed the fact that at 250 m distance there is a good supermarket -ReWe- where I did my shopping to cook at 'my place'.
Places like Gert's apartment make the use of Airbnb real worthwhile.
