SOUTHWESTERN CHARM FOR 2 at PIKES PEAK! Welcome to the Sanctuary, a luxurious 1930s guesthouse at the base of Pikes Peak with MOUNTAIN VIEWS and just minutes from all COLORADO SPRINGS & MANITOU SPGS attractions, shops, restaurants, & hiking trails!
AMENITIES INCLUDE: original wood floors, ceiling vigas, kiva fireplace, queen bed with luxury linens, mini kitchen stocked with gourmet coffees, teas and homemade cookies, full bath with specialty soaps/shampoos, private patio, and outdoor labyrinth.

BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED in southwestern décor, The Sanctuary of the Rose features a full sitting room with a corner kiva gas fireplace, original ceiling vigas, wood floors and air conditioning. A flat screen TV with numerous cable channels, DVD and CD players, high speed wireless internet, and a movie and CD collection are all available.

BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN VIEWS from the sitting room and front porch await. The Sanctuary is decorated with original art and features a hand painted mural of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in the sitting room.
A separate BEDROOM area with a queen bed and luxury linens is just off the sitting room. (It features a high quality 2023 firm Beautyrest mattress & 5 star rated memory foam mattress topper.) The bedroom also has a small desk and mountain and garden labyrinth views.

The KITCHENETTE has a microwave, mini fridge, regular and Keurig coffee makers, hot water pot for tea and a Mexican tile table with bar stools. Please note this is NOT A FULL KITCHEN...there is no kitchen sink or stovetop. We have complimentary gourmet coffee and teas, bottled water and home made cookies available for guests. Dishes (paper and stoneware) and silverware are provided. Our guests say this little kitchenette is PERFECT for simple and easy breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation. AN ADDED BONUS for 5 PLUS NIGHT GUESTS: fresh baked homemade Artisan bread delivered to your door your first morning!

The FULL BATH has tile floors and a Mexican tile sink along with a full tub and shower, a hair dryer, specialty shampoo, conditioner, soaps and lotions.

ENJOY SITTING ON A PRIVATE OUTDOOR PATIO OVERLOOKING THE PIKES PEAK MOUNTAIN and a walking garden labyrinth made of Colorado river rock as you drink your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Deer and hummingbirds are frequent visitors to this lovely area.

The Sanctuary is totally separate from the main house and is quiet and private. Its back patio overlooking Pikes Peak is for guests only, as is the walking outdoor labyrinth made of Colorado river rock.

We love pets, but cannot accommodate them due to other guests' allergies.
The Sanctuary is a non-smoking property inside and out.

Neighborhood highlights

The little neighborhood/suburb of Cascade is in the foothills of Colorado Springs, just across the street from the start of the Pikes Peak Highway. We are within close driving distance (5-15 minutes) to all of Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs sights and attractions plus we are "in" the mountains (as opposed to being in town where there aren't mountain views.) Ours is a quiet, peaceful and safe neighborhood with mountain views from the front porch, back patio and front windows. Hummingbirds, deer and various other mountain wildlife frequent our neighborhood.

Owners Ann and Chuck Benson love welcoming guests to their beautiful mountain guesthouse near Colorado Springs. They both love the outdoors and their city and have traveled to many places within CO & around the world. They have lived locally since 1986 and have extensive knowledge about the area. Chuck is a retired architect. Ann is a retired dental hygienist and the main innkeeper. They live in the main house next to the Sanctuary.
