Interaction with Guests
Being your host I am at your service and will help you out with finding your way around where to go , to eat , to shop. Maybe a visit to Assilah, Tetouan or Chefchaouen or getting a nice massage in a traditional hammam. Just let me know and I will recommend the best places, a driver, a cook etc. to make your stay as comfortable as possible
The Merchanthouse is located in a very good neighborhood, Close ( 2 minutes) from the Grand Succo with taxi´s all day and night. Safety first and you don´t have to worry about that for sure!! Place Sakaya is well known for it´s little market twice a week. THe woman from the Rif with their typical outfit come to town and try to sell their fresh vegetable, fruits, herbs etc. A lovely scenery to watch having a tea at the local "Moroccan pub"......
Taxi´s are not alowed in the medina. And that´s just (email hidden) cars. You walk and go slowly because there is so much to see.
Outside the medina you grab a petit blue taxi easilly.
Not expensive at alll.
We respect our neighbours and other housequests!!
No smoking inside the house but with all that outsidespace we have no problem at all .....just blowing in the wind.
Heard of The sheltering sky? No not the movie but you are close. The book!! Paul Bowles was the writer and one of Tangier´s citizen´s for a long time. A little tribute to him with pictures from his friend Cherie Nutting. Thanks !!
