Private, en-suite double room in ultra-modern, centrally-located, fourth-floor penthouse apartment, with all modern comforts and conveniences. With spectacular 270-degree views, within a 5 minute walk of the city center, and private parking included.
The apartment is very bright, full of light with large windows. The bedrooms are carpeted for comfort and the rest is all wood flooring. High ceilings and a general feeling of openness make it a very pleasant place to stay.
You will have access to your own private en suite room, the kitchen, laundry (separate washer/dryer), 70Mb wireless broadband, a large balcony, and a very comfortable living room with flat screen TV and a small collection of DVDs/Blu-rays that you're free to watch.
You are free to smoke on the balcony if you wish but please not in the apartment itself.
I'm generally very busy with work so I likely won't be able to spend much time with you. I have a little more time on weekends.
The apartment building is located a the end of a vibrant street in the city centre, with lots of bars, a convenience store within a 3-minute walk, a homely café, an authentic Italian pizza place, a yoga studio, an alternative book store, and much more. It's one of the city's more interesting neighbourhoods and, being on the south side of the river, is generally very safe.
Being in the city center, unless you're visiting one of the neighboring towns, such as Kinsale, Blarney, or Cobh, you really won't need to use public transport.
It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the main streets -- Grand Parade, Patrick's St, South Mall, etc. The university (UCC) is 15 minutes walking distance.
The airport bus (226/226A) stops within a 10-minute walk of the apartment (outside City Hall), the main bus station is a 15-minute walk, and the train station (Kent) is about a 20-minute walk.
Really nice host, great apartment, perfect! We (me and my five-year-old son) only stayed one night, but were able to use the kitchen and the living room in addition to our "own" bedroom plus bathroom, and very happy. Donogh was really friendly and helpful, his place is conveniently situated, and we would come back any time! Thank you!
Donogh's apartment is lovely, spacious, bright, modern and...most importantly, warm! It's also an easy 5-10 minute walk to the city centre. Donogh was a brilliant host and had printed us off a sheet of paper with all the top spots to visit in the city. He also let us help ourselves to stuff in the fridge...we may have taken this a step too far and (email hidden) dessert but Donogh was a very generous host and didn't seem peeved at all, even though it was the last one! Thanks, Donogh and sorry again! :-)
My stay here was wonderful. I had a welcoming and knowledgable host. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in cork!
We stayed in Donogh's fabulous apartment for just a Saturday night. It was a fantastic apartment, really modern and comfortable and clean and in a great location, easy walking distance to the main attractions of the city.
Donogh was very friendly and even texted the codes to get in that morning. He was very friendly and easy going and had lots of nice touches like a candle in the room, a phone for non Irish people to use and lots of tourist information.
Overall even though a short stay we would definitely stay there again and would recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in Cork to stay at Donogh's!
Just PERFECT! Donogh is the host you've ever dream of, he's really kind, helpful and he makes everything to make you feel at home, like if you were at friend's house.
He has thought of everything... a list of restaurant, pubs or things you may like in Cork, and every other attentions that make you feel really comfortable, trust me, you will not want to come back home! :)
The apartment is really amazing, clean, very well located (safe neighborhood, 10min to the city center and close to bus stops and few restaurants).
AN HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ADDRESS!!
ps : If I've make you decide to choose Donogh, don't forget to say hello to Albert for me ^^
absolutely amazing!!! Donogh is very friendly and gave us great recommendations. everything was very well prepared for us. we felt like staying in a luxury hotel but more friendly.
we definitely come back...
Donogh was a really friendly host. His flat is amazing, we felt like in a hotel. He gave us a lot of advice to enjoy perfectly Cork. Thanks again. If we come back to Cork, we definitly go to your house!
The friendly and excellent services provided by Donogh and its lovely apartment perfectly matched the requirements of our stay and exceeded all expectations. The apartment was perfectly prepared, ultra clean and talking to Donogh was a great pleasure. Thanks for the lovely stay, marcus and susi
Donogh is the most amazing host i've had, such a genuinely nice guy. The suite is spotless. homely and so well stocked with little things to entertain anyone, no matter what you do or how old you are.
His knowledge of cork is outstanding, he provided us amazing recommendations as our trip was very last minute.
Me and my partner watched DVD's, sat in front of the indoor fireplace with cups of irish tea, it was such a nice relaxing day.
Standing shower, soft carpet in the room, soft bouncy bed, enough space to exercise, amazing kitchen, coffee machine, even a beanbag.
Donogh provides so many extra little treats, but i won't spoil them for you.
He hosts you the way you'd expect a friend whose been living in a country you're visiting would look after you.
The only bad thing about Donogh, is he works, so he can't hang out with you all the time :P
He truly was an amazing host, if i'm ever in Cork again i guarantee i will be staying with him. Strongly recommend it.
We had a very quick overnight stay in Cork, and Donogh's accommodations proved to be perfect for our needs. He was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us out with directions for our day of exploring the area. The room was fantastically comfortable and served to fulfill our need for a good night's rest. If we ever get the chance to come back to Cork, we would definitely look up Donogh again first. Highly recommended.
