This is an idyllic spot in the beautiful countryside near Stanford- very quiet ( except for the howling of coyotes and the comforting rooster's cock-a- doodle-do).
The room is a serene white with lush linen and attractive furniture.
However, the bathtub was not working, so it was like going to a feast , but not being able to eat!
Also, I would have enjoyed the hostess coming over just for a hello in person rather than leaving sticky notes here and there.
Absolutely fantastic! We would highly recommend staying in this beautiful, spacious, comfortable, clean, home. Fabulous hosts, brilliant location, stunning space. We had a truly relaxing two weeks. Michele and her family were so generous and kind. The place is even nicer than the photos! Five stars for everything.
This was my second stay. I came for my 35th reunion at Stanford. I again had a great time. Michele is easy to work with. The room is quiet, private and comfortable. Wonderful location. Thanks Michele .

Great room for a stay at Stanford! Just as it is described. Michele was great to deal with. I locked myself out and she was easily available to let me in.
Lovely, spacious room and bath. … I was there 2 nights for business and enjoyed the fresh air and quiet neighborhood. The only thing missing for someone who needs to do some serious work is a desk and chair.
There are a couple of places to sit outside and relax. Some great hiking is also nearby if you want to clear your head with some exercise.
I-280 is but a short drive, so one can easily get to many Bay Area locations. The refrigerator, a coffee maker, and some utensils allow one to make a simple breakfast. There are a wide range of places to eat a larger meal within a 10 minute drive.
I've stayed at Michele's property many times. Michele is a great host and her place is always my first choice. I absolutely love the place on a vineyard!
We loved staying in Michele's and Mark's peaceful retreat
while we were in Palo Alto visiting my family from France. We
loved looking at the trees through the large picture windows. The crickets serenaded us at night. Michele suggested places
I could walk with a walker. We look forward to returning.
We regret that due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control, we had no choice as we needed the room for our daughter who got caught with a housing crisis. This is our first (and hopefully only) cancellation in over 2 years and over 2 dozen guests. Our potential guests still have 5 weeks to rebook and we helped with suggestions in doing so.
The reservation was canceled 33 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Michele's room was a peaceful place to stay during a work assignment in the area. The room was large, very clean, and nicely furnished. It contrasted with a lot of the generic-but-expensive hotel rooms in the area. Michele's room was much better, and it provided more privacy! It was great that she provided free wifi access. Her place was close to the cute little downtown area of Los Altos, so I could drive to restaurants for meals. There was no TV in the room, but that was actually nice. Not having that distraction and extra stimulation helped make the place so restful!
