  • Great first airbnb experience. I booked for two and then a third one has been added and Valarie and Omar were ok for all of us to come which was really nice of them!! The room was big enough for 3 and our luggages.
They just replaced the beds by comfy matresses and the subway is really close (3min walking). With the 7 train you are in Times square in about 20 to 35 minutes and it is a 24/7 lane!!
I highly recommend this place with nice hosts.
    Thank you Valarie and Omar

  • It was my first time using Airbnb and I will definitely use it again. Valarie and Omar were great hosts. They were welcoming and made me feel at home. I stayed here when Hurricane Sandy hit so I had only a couple days to enjoy the city unfortunately. But Valarie and Omar prepared the house with water, food, and candles for all of us which I appreciate. Before the hurricane, I can say that the neighborhood was peaceful. I would come home late at night and felt okay with the nearby shops and restaurants still open. The subway is very close to the apartment and has great views of the city on the way. The room was neatly prepared for me and having a TV makes it less lonely for someone traveling alone. Also the apartment was clean and warm. So recommend anyone to stay at Valarie and Omar's place.

  • Valarie and Omar are great hosts. Their place is clean and perfectly located - in particular if you enjoy the culturally rich neighborhood of Jackson Heights as we do. Valarie and Omar are eager to share their place while ensuring each others privacy. We definitely recommend staying with them.

  • Location is great, in 20 min you are in Manhattan. The room was clean but the beds are not very comfortable.

  • A great sunny place near subway, with friendly neighbourood,
We didn't meet Valarie, but Omar was a nice and discreet host.

  • This is my second time staying with Valarie and Omar and the room was just as nice as before. The apt is just a quick walk to the 7 train making it a really convenient place to stay when you have a busy schedule. Omar was very flexible when I had to change my checkin time. Any time I come back to Queens I will always be checking with them first.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Valarie and Omar's although we didnt get to meet Valarie. Omar was very helpful and gallant with helping with our luggage. Their flat is on the 3rd floor and we would have struggled with our bags otherwise.
The room was spotless. The beds are sofa beds and took some getting used to.
The location is great - the 7 Train takes you from Chinatown to Times Sq in 45 mins and its a very shrot walk to the train station on Roosevelt.
We enjoyed our time in NYC are thankful we booked through AirBnB .

  • Valarie and Omar were excellent hosts. Friendly, helpful (prior my arrival, during my staying and up to the last minute). I'm so happy to had the opportunity to stay in her/his home.
All accommodations were as described in Airbnb.
It was my first time staying in others home, but being their guest was so easy and funny

  • We had a great time at Valarie and Omar's appartement. The room was spacious and clean, and so was the kitchen and the bathroom. Valarie and her husband were both perfect hosts that were always friendly and ready to help when we had a question or a request. The area in Queens felt very safe, even when we came home in the middle of the night.
Yes, the room does get very warm during the summer, but the fan that is provided helps a lot with that. We'd stay there again if we ever traveled back to NY and we can recommend the room to others!

I'm 24 years old and married. Im studying Interior Design and will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology for the next two years. I lived in Hawaii for 8 years but travelled a bit. I use to live in Los Angeles to study acting and then I got married and lived in Istanbul, Turkey for awhile. Went back to Hawaii to major in Interior Design and love it. So now I'm moving to New York. I'm friendly, easy to get along with and responsible. I'm considerate and like to make others feel comfortable. Overall, I have a positive attitude.
