Self care 101
  • Lovely soaps,  bathbombs, Rose & Lavender bath salts  displayed in glass apothecary jars set on vintage oak bath stand
  • Breakfast is served! A few tweeks to my 'Go to' basic muffin recipe et voilà, cranberry orange muffins - made with butter, fresh orange zest & juice, as well as a few drops of Cointreau !
  • My house looks like a Winter Wonderland with the recent snow!

  • Don't you Love the scent of freshly laundered linens.  620 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets on the family heirloom four poster bed ready for the next guest.

  • I Love baking! Homemade blueberry vanilla muffins, topped with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar are a specialty of mine.
Nothing like waking up to the scent of fresh baked goods & coffee brewing.  Even better is Breakfast in Bed!  Available upon request
  • Our Devonshire Rose, Brooks Corner, located 1 block off Main Street, surrounded by privet hedge.
  • View from Main Street during the winter. During spring & summer, the 2 maple trees have leaves on them so the view of the house from the front  is mostly hidden.
  • Relaxing waterfall & pond garden, wonderfully soothing for pondering Life.
  • Early morning winter sunrise view from my home!  The charming house across the street was built in the 1800's and reputed stop of George Washington.

  • Old Salem historical village tourist attraction, about a mile from my home, is a wonderful place to walk around & the tavern is an atmospheric spot to dine -
  • Spooky Jack o'lanterns decorating the fence around the town square & another beautiful October morning in #oldsalem  Quite Spooktacular sight, even more incredible lit up at night for trick or treat
  • There's a vintage toy & tobacco theme in the 2nd guest bedroom with a display of old trains, toy cap guns. Winston Salem is the home of R.J. Reynolds, a tobacco company founded in 1875.
