Gordon and Sandy were wonderful. The cottage is small but it is so pretty and efficient. The setting is quiet and picturesque with a view of the mountains. The location is just a few minutes from Matamata and it was easy to find with our gps. I was so pleased when we arrived late at night to find the cottage was spotless, Gordon and Sandy left some fresh banana bread and fresh veggies from their garden. They have 2 very sweet labradors on the property which made it feel like home.
The best thing about this place was the value. Hotels in New Zealand seem a little pricy compared with other parts of the world and often on our trip we felt like we were getting very little for our money. Gordon and Sandy were the exception. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Great location and accomodation. Gracious hosts and excellent facilities. Eben and Bindi were warm and friendly too. Highly recomend.
The only thing wrong staying at Quinlan Cottage was that we couldn't stay longer. Nice visiting with Gordon & Sandy. The Cottage was so nice! We wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
We're all love this house, is very clean and beautiful, sandy and gordon are very attention to detail. Provides free fruit, milk and homemade lemon tea. Gordon took us to feed the sheep in the morning, it is very interesting, and two dogs are very friendly.
What a gorgeous, gorgeous place Sandy & Gordon have! We were absolutely thrilled to drive down their driveway and be given a warm welcome and exquisite accommodations. This place would be considered a very high-end B&B where we're from (USA) -- right in Matamata. Beautiful farmland, beautiful home. Quite ideal. Sandy & Gordon were so friendly and lovely. We felt like we were visiting dear friends. A complete delight. Thank you!
The Quinlan Cottage was just perfect for my husband and I. We absolutely loved staying here & Gordon and Sandy are amazing hosts!! The cottage is welcoming and very cozy and romantic. We couldn't help but fall in love with the location, cottage, and all of Gordon and Sandy's wonderful family pets!! Just amazing! We will be back. Thank you so much!!
My brother and i had a lovely stay with Gordon and Sandy! What a wonderful cottage....and the muffins and cakes are delicious! :)
