Are you looking for Tranquility in the Cederberg area? Cederkloof Botanical Retreat is set into beautiful fynbos covered kloof, the self-catering accommodation offers spring-fed private Jacuzzi, indoor fireplace and luxurious kingsize beds. All the cottages are alone standing and is built to enjoy the views and an interaction with the gardens. There are 6 single units, 3 double units and luxury tents to choose from. All group bookings must contact us directly for correct quotes.

The space
The Cederkloof Botanical Retreat forms part of a working farm 8km from Citrusdal, a quiet and tranquil space set in a beautiful valley abutting a wilderness area. Part of the landscape is still wild and opens to numerous views with beautiful rock formations from where you can watch stunning moon rises and have the stars put on a show just for you. The retreat is situated in a wide valley between striking mountains, providing an excellent opportunity to explore the mountainside on the 4km hiking trail with its weird rock formations covered in lichen and more than 850 fynbos species that attract hundreds of bird species.
The retreat is perfect for a weekend getaway from Cape Town, signature birthday parties, or romantic hideaways. Solo journeys are taken here for quiet recovery, families with kids of all ages for adventures in nature, couples find perfect alone time and groups of friends celebrate birthdays. Whatever age or group size there is something special here for you.

Guest access
The guests have access to a swimming pool, hiking trails and a river, where canoes can be rented (water levels depending, mid summers can be very dry). The main building has a large fire place and lawns around the pool for communal gatherings.
Not every unit has self phone or wi-fi. The best wi-fi is at units 10 and 9, but those are also the least private units. However, you can access unlimited and free wi-fi at the central building.

Other things to note
There is no food or beverages for sale at the resort, but all kitchens are well equipped in the houses and at the central building, which makes it suitable for larger gatherings and events.
Optional charges may include: R150 per unit per night for the use of the Jacuzzi, R150 per person per night on a mattress R35 per bag of firewood (2 bags are supplied on arrival) R15 per bag for ice.

Location

Citrusdal, South Africa

The town of Citrusdal, a 15 min drive from the resort has a fairly well stocked grocery store, but all specialty products should be purchased in Cape Town. You can purchase fire wood and ice for at the resort. There are numerous good restaurants within a 20 minutes drive from the resort. There are also an array of outdoor activities in close proximity such as ancient Khoi and San rock paintings, waterfalls and deep fresh water swimming pools, and horse back riding. All recommendations for eating and activities will be in a welcome package for you.
