Get Lost and Find Yourself in this beautifully crafted, one-of-a kind, home-in-the-clouds. Ideal for ceremonies, celebrations and serenity, it’s the perfect space to host your company meeting, family event, yoga weekend, spiritual retreat or romantic get-away.
The space includes a grand room, two small bedrooms, a spacious sleeping loft, 1.5 bathrooms, a 2-level deck (with fire pit and fountain), and an excellent sound system. It’s all here.
Air: Set high on a wooded hilltop with sweeping views of the valley below and the mountains beyond. You’re above the world and the big sky is ever present.
Earth: Hike to capital Forest (next door) or take beautiful walks on the hillside. Watch deer roam silently across the meadow at dusk.
Water: Experience mornings above the fog as it floats in the valley below. At times you’re in the mist. Listen to the fountain.
Fire: Three places for fire (a wood stove, a dramatic fireplace, and an outdoor fire pit built into the deck). Wood is included.
The entire home is filled with architectural accents that feel monastic in their elegant, Zen simplicity. The grand room includes a kitchen and lots of open space with stone floors and a dramatic fireplace in the corner. Floor-to-ceiling windows open to a 2 level deck with built-in fire pit that looks down in the valley below.
My home is yours. Store your food in the kitchen (there's a fridge), cook it on the stovetop, and savor your meals. Catering is available (we can discuss). Sleeps 12 people max (2 in each bedroom and 4 in the treehouse-like sleeping loft, and four in the spacious grand room). Parking for six cars.
Stay close to nature and experience the present. Relax, rejuvenate, restore. I live in another home on the property, quite hidden but always there if you need something. I can keep the fire stoked for you if that is what you want.
Close to nature and above the world.
You will need a car to get here, parking for 6 cars is available.
Karl is an awesome guy. He's kind, relaxed, perceptive, and super smart. He's one of these people that has seen and done so much, but isn't jaded or boastful about it. I have known Karl for over fifteen years and it's always a pleasure to hang out with him. He is also extremely neat, reliable and considerate.
I've known Karl for at least 20 years. He is a remarkable person: kind, generous, and thoughtful. Karl has traveled the world - from trekking in the Himalayas to driving a VW van from Germany to India. He knows what makes a travel experience "just right" and I am sure he will be an excellent host.
Karl is one of the most interesting people that you will ever meet. Brilliant, relaxed, well travelled, warm and considerate to a fault, and attentive to every detail. His house (which he designed) is always meticulously kept, and I could not imagine a more ideal renter.
