Catherine was an outstanding host! She surprised us with some very charming & thoughtful newlywed decorations, as my wife and I are on our honeymoon. The aparment was bright and lovely, with lots of unique decorations. It was about a 20 minute walk to the waterfront. Although we never got a chance to meet, Catherine was very communicative, friendly, accomodating, kind, and thoughtful. She stocked the kitchen with plenty of nice light breakfast treats, including various fruits, yogurt, granola, and milk. The only thing that required some getting used to was the bed, which was a bit harder than we prefer. Overall, we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend staying at Catherine's place!

Highly recommended: the apartment was exactly as described, Catherine was solicitous but unobtrusive, and we had a delightful stay.

Catherine was a great host! Her communication was great and she made herself available for anything we may have needed. It seemed like she had thought of every little detail that may be needed. The apartment was spacious and in close walking distance to all of downtown Portland's attractions.

The Inn was the perfect spot to spend our two nights in Portland. Catherine was responsive and helpful. The location was excellent--very walkable to many shops and restaurants and right across the street from a wonderful farmers market. The Inn was clean and spacious and the kitchen was stocked with cooking essentials. Would definitely come back and stay again!

The Inn on Grant Street was so perfect! Great location, tucked away from the noise yet still withing walking distance of everything! Your hosts made themselves always available, while still allowing as much privacy as needed. Less than a mile walk from pretty much everything one could ask for. The sushi at Miyaki, was amazing, a great suggestion by our hosts. Great visit, if we do travel to Portland again this gem will be our first choice to stay in the city.

Catherine User ProfileCatherine is a superhost.

We live in Portland, Maine where Catherine works as a public school teacher, and writer, and my partner David works as a social worker in a nonprofit community organization. We have seven amazing kids between us, only two of whom are not full grown. David is also a musician and avid outdoors person; hiking, biking, kayaking. Catherine loves to create, write, and spend time outdoors looking at leaves, snow boarding, or swimming in a lake. We are easy to get along with, love to help out, and look forward to sharing our home and part of the world with you.
