Cozy, soft decor fill this light, bright studio with a private entrance. Shevlin Park and Phil's Trail are minutes away for hiking, running, and mountain biking. Mt. Bachelor is a short 30 minute drive for skiing in the winter and downhill biking in the summer. Smith Rock is a 45 minute drive for hiking and climbing enthusiasts. Shopping and dining are within walking distance at NW Crossing or a a short drive to the Old Mill or Downtown Bend. Mesh Network Wifi, coffee, tea and snacks provided.

The space
The cozy studio is over 600 square feet of private space. In the downstairs entry hallway you access the full bathroom and have basic supplies to prepare simple meals using the mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishes. You may also use the gas grill on the back patio. There are some spices for you. Please enjoy the sweet table in the kitchenette area and add your pushpin to the US map!
Once you go upstairs, you have a new king bed (2023) and a twin bed. The cozy couch has plenty of room to spread out on with extra blankets for snuggling up. For entertainment, you have a flat screen tv with a DVD player and surround sound stereo. You may manage the temperature using the mini split, extra fans, and heaters.
Reliable, fast wireless internet is provided through an eero mesh network. When you are done working at the round table, it converts to a bumper pool table for some fun!
The shared outdoor space in the back yard has plenty of seating to relax outside. There is also a gas fire pit available for you. You'll likely meet my sweet dogs, Mari and Buddy (small poodle mixes) out in the back yard at some point during your stay.
If you're looking for something to do, you'll find magazines and books for ideas while you are here. You may also use the two bikes and helmets I have provided.
Please note Airbnb will collect a transient room tax which is required by the City of Bend. This will be added to your base booking charges by Airbnb.

Guest access
Guests have a parking space on the street in front of my house next to the curb. If an additional space is needed you may park along the street as well. You access your private space at the back of my home from the back patio. Open the gate by following the path on the right side of my home and please make sure it gets closed for the safety of my dogs. There is plenty of room to relax and unwind, especially after exploring and adventuring around Central Oregon.

Other things to note
My Mini Goldendoodle named Mari and Mini Poodle mix rescue named Buddy are friendly but will likely bark when they hear you arrive.
If you are interested in bringing your well behaved dog, please CHECK WITH ME before booking. Then if approved, book your dog guest with the $40 pet fee.

Dog Guests

I know you love your pet as much as I love mine. It is a privilege to travel with your loved furry friend. I kindly ask that you respect these guidelines so I can continue to offer to accept pets as guests in my Cozy Studio.

No excessive barking, no digging, and no chewing on furniture.
When you leave the Cozy Studio your dog must be with you or in a crate - no exceptions. If you need a crate, just ask as I have a small extra one.
Your dog can not be left unattended in the back yard.
You must pick up after them.
When bringing your dog inside, please wipe his/her paws off with the towel in the shoe basket.
Please, no dogs on the furniture (includes the couch and bed). It is difficult to remove dog hair from bedding and the couch fabric collects dog hair. If I can tell the dog has been on the furniture, an additional $50 will be collected.
Notice when my dogs are out in the backyard and make sure your dog gets along with mine. I sometimes leave my sweet dogs in the backyard unattended.
You will be held responsible for any damage done by your dog.

Neighborhood highlights

My neighborhood has many families so please be respectful of the Good Neighbor policies and note quiet hours from 10 pm - 7 am. There are many walking paths and it is a pleasant walk around the neighborhood with a lot of large trees. Within minutes you can access amazing hiking, running, and mountain biking trails at Shevlin Park and Phil's Trail. Road biking enthusiasts follow Shevlin Park road for miles of country riding with amazing mountain views! Northwest Crossing is within walking distance for several delicious options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks! Also in Northwest Crossing is a local book store and a great market! COCC is also only about a mile away.

Besides traveling, I also love to bike ride, hike, paddle board and spend quality time with family and friends. My most recent bike adventure was the Alpe Adria Trail from Salzburg, Austria to Grado, Italy. I love my hometown Bend and bet you will too!
