Interaction with Guests
I will hand you the key and tell you a bit about the area and answer all quiestions you might have to make your stay in Barcelona as great as possible.
This lovely apartment sits in the heart of Born, just behind the Santa Maria church and Passeo del Borne in the area of streets normally not found unless you spend some time in Barcelona. Hidden gems such as restaurants, bars, boutiques are just outside the door! The host will more than happily share their secret locations for a romantic dinner out or a bar where mostly the locals hang out.
Getting to the beach is only a short walk away, about 15 min.
You only have to cross the Via Laietana to discover the Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Sant Jaume, Las Ramblas and the Plaza Real.
For shopping, you are 10 min walk away from the most popular street for shopping in Barcelona Portal del Ángel and Plaza Catalunya.
For the rest, you can take the metro (station Jaume I) and you'll have no trouble finding a taxi whatever time of day or night on Via Laietana street.

Robine was a perfect host. She patiently waited for us at the apartment as our flight was delayed. It was easy to communicate with her via text message. She got back to us quickly when we had a question.
The apartment was perfectly located in the heart of El Born. Most sights were within walking distance or an easy Metro ride. The Picasso Museum (buy your pass online and show them the voucher on your phone so you don't have to wait) is just around the corner and so is Santa Marie del Mar.
Robine recommended a great little sandwich shop at the back corner of Santa Marie del Mar. It was called the Original Bakery. Great for lunch and pastries. Open all hours.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed: 2 toilets (big plus when traveling with kids), fully equipped kitchen, washer/drying rack, wi-fi and AC.
Would definitely stay here again.
The location is fantastic and the apartment had most things we needed. It is very spacious and appears as it is shown in the photographs. We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona.
Communication with Robine was clear and good. She always responded in a short amount of time. We did not meet her, her friend Miriam waited for us in the flat w/the kids and they did not complain about our delay due to a late flight.
The flat has a super fantastic location- right & the hearth of the Born, within walking distance to tons of great places in Barcelona- so if location is your top concern, this is good and is what you are paying for.
The flat however is not very well kept- there is junk here and there, the beds are uncomfortable and flimsy, not exactly the best of IKEA, bedding is not of good quality. There was not even toilet paper upon arrival. There was only only a pair of keys and we had to ask to get a second pair. There was only sufficient hot water for one person to take a 5 minute shower- the rest of the family had to take seriously cold showers even after waiting a long time in between. The flat does not have much windows- which is normal for a building this old.
In short: rent this flat if you care about the location, select a different one if you want comfort, hot showers expect to have at least toilet paper upon arrival. The host is nice and pleasant, communications were no problem -No complaints about her!
Robine has a really spacious flat in a perfect location in the heart of El Born! You can literally walk everywhere and have a lot of small shops and restaurants right by the flat. Because of a bar below the flat it can be a bit noisy at night in one of the bedrooms which might be a problem for people with light sleep or when travelling with young children. However, overall our stay in the flat was great and we had an amazing vacation in Barcelona!
This apartment is a great place to stay in Barcelona: clean, spacious, with good AC and Wifi. The location is great in the middle of El Born which is a nice neighborhood!
It was very easy to communicate with Robine, before and during our stay!
Robine was there to meet us and show us around the apartment, even though our plane was late arriving in Barcelona. She was pleasant to talk with and made recommendations for some restaurants nearby. The apartment was as shown in the listing and met our needs perfectly. The apartment is very big, with 1 bedroom upfront and 1 in the back of the apartment. The location is great, right in the heart of the Old Town, within walking distance of many attractions, including the beach.
We loved this apartment! It is situated in the El Born district which has amazing shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. It's a short walk to the shopping district and the beach.
The apartment was a lot bigger then we expected and great value for money! The home was clean and really well equity. I think the best part of the experience was that Robine was so accommodating and made everything so easy, from getting the keys to letting us check out late on the last day. She was always available to contact and answer any questions we had.
Thanks again Robine. If we are ever back in Barcelona we would make this our first choice of place to stay again!
About the Host, Robine
Music lover from Sweden who are older than people normally think! I have a great music interest which is what made me move to Barcelona as I am here working as a DJ.
I have lived and worked in many cities all over the world, but nothing beats Barcelona. Absolutely love this place! No plan to leave this place in a long time :)
The flat is my sanctuary, so even though I would love to share the flat with you I would like to keep this apartment as a relaxed environment and not as a party flat.
