The space
Enjoy Crested Butte with this centrally located property in town! You’ll love the spacious and private San Moritz Guest House.

The space features a large open floor plan upstairs with hand hewn timbers stretching across the vaulted ceiling with the Kitchen and Dining Area opening up to the Living Room. Plenty of Windows with a south facing exposure mean great light all year. The Living Room opens to a deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air and views of Gibson Ridge. The Aspen paneled accent walls bring the mountain vibe together.

1st Bedroom - Queen Size Bed, Nightstands, Large Closet and Large Dresser on the 1st Floor. It also has a ceiling fan and Smart HD TV w/ DirecTV service incl. DVR. The bedroom window faces the south towards the aspen treed front yard of the property and pine forested Gibsons Ridge. Equipped with blackout shades to allow you to sleep in on your getaway.

2nd Bedroom - Twin over Full Bunk-Bed, Nightstand, Built In Shelves near the bed for your devices, Large Closet and a Pine Dresser to get settled during your stay. Also on the 1st Floor. This room also has a foldaway twin if needed. The space also features blackout shades for those that like to take it slow in the mornings. Dresser is bolted to wall for safety with kiddos.

3rd Bedroom - Queen Size Bed, Nightstands, TV (w DirecTV and DVR), and Dresser located on the 2nd floor off the living room. Small Deck directly off this space and it's great to open the door and let the mountain air in. 32" HD TV w DirecTV Service and DVR. This space was originally built as an in-law suite and the space has vaulted ceilings and opens up to sink, counter, and fridge. This space has its own private 3/4 bath.

Upstairs Living Space:
Kitchen - The Kitchen is fully equipped. As frequent travellers ourselves, we know how disappointing it can be to work in a kitchen that isn't fully equipped and we have put thought and effort into making sure you will have what you need - including the 20 spice rack, nice pans, mixing bowls, and a slow cooker, and 3 ways to make coffee. The kitchen has been updated with all new stainless steel appliances including a gas range for the discerning chef. You'll enjoy cooking in this mountain getaway for breakfasts before a big day on the mountain and on the nights you aren't enjoying the fantastic offerings in town. Includes a Breakfast Bar that seats 4 comfortably and can fit up to 6. We also provide an iHome speaker with aux cable so you can have your music while enjoying the space with friends and family.

Living Room - The Living Room features an oversized and comfortable leather couch and ottoman. The 47 inch Smart HDTV is serviced by over 160+ channels (including all the HGTV and Sport Channels). Plug in your Netflix Credentials and enjoy the streaming service during your getaway!

Dining Area - The Dining Area is off the Kitchen and largely shares that space. The table is kept to accommodate 6 but can be extended with the built in table leaf to seat 8 comfortably. We have chairs/stools for 8.

Half Bath on this level to service this living space.


Entryway/1st Level:
The large entryway has plenty of space to hang coats, hats, gloves, and gear (... and benches to help with getting it all on). There is also a coat closet. The Main BR and 2nd BR, Full Bath with Laundry are also on the first level. The in-floor heating is great in winter when getting out of the shower.

A second outside entrance and entryway is also present and also features a small laundry washer and dryer as well as a closet for your coats, clothes, and suitcases. This was the separate entry for the In-Law Suite which was necessary before the two sides were combined.

The property is serviced by a tankless water heater and there is always hot water. Pack light and do laundry during your stay with a starter set of detergent provided.

Summer Amenities:
As seasons permit - We provide 2 Townie Bikes to cruise around town and we also provide a propane grill and picnic table out front to enjoy your evenings.

The bikes and grill are put in storage November - April and are brought out once the weather allows.

Guest access
You will have keyless access (door code) to each unit that is specific to your group throughout your stay so there is no coordinating the key pickup or sharing of keys amongst the group! I will be in contact after booking with access info.

Update 5/20/2020 - Per Gunnison Cty Public Health Update 9: Crested Butte is opening for Summer! Beginning May 27th - We can operate at 100% capacity.

Cleaning / Disinfecting Procedure:
Please understand that cleaning fees have been increased to cover the cost of increased time for cleaning per recommended guidelines. We pay our cleaners a living wage for their work.
The property is cleaned per recommendations. The cleaning staff wears gloves and masks to protect themselves and keep from transferring germs and virus between properties. I am not allowing back to backs to allow the cleaning crew to have 30 hours between groups to have the time they need to do their work.

We use EPA-registered disinfectants on high touch services, all countertops, dressers, nightstands, etc.

The cleaning crew uses bleach in all laundry loads.

The cleaning crew dries all laundry at the hottest setting (Wash cannot be turned up due to danger of guests getting burnt or scalded by high temps coming out of faucets or shower).

We do everything we can to mitigate the risk of being exposed to germs or virus in this property.

We are across the street from Ruthie's Run nordic trails and within a few blocks of the Nordic Center, Ice Rink, Skate Park, and Slogar. In the summer, the Nordic Trails become hiking trails.

We moved to Colorado in 2008 and have never looked back. We love the mountains and everything they offer to enjoy nature. We enjoy hiking, skiing, fly fishing, and landscape photography... anything that gets us outside.

I call all guests after booking to say hello and discuss logistics so each group knows what to expect from me and will have a chance to ask any questions they may have.
