The stay at Joses apartment was very pleasant.
The apartment was exactly as described, modern and very nice decorated. The bedrooms are small but cozy and have big wardrobes so you have more place than you could need for half a year (this being said by a girl with way to much clothes). As you have a nice living room to share you don't need more place than that in your room.
Jose is a very nice host, he always helped me whenever i needed something or whenever i had questions. Especially in your first days or weeks in Peru it's more than needed to have someone you can rely on to get along, so I was very thankful for that.
The neighborhood might not be the most typical to stay for foreigners, as everyone typically goes around Miraflores. For my part, I preferred to live in a more authentic part of Lima, as Pueblo Libre. You may be the only foreigner in the near, but you have the real peruvian life and feeling around you. Miraflores is surely a nice place to spend a afternoon or to go to a club at night, but in my opinion it's way to touristic to really live there (and everything i the near costs the double, no matter what).
Surely i cannot disagree with the fact that Miraflores is the safer part of the city, but Pueblo Libre still is one of the safer places in Lima and you should take care so or so, no matter where you are. Plus the fact that i felt very very safe in the apartment, since it has a 24 hours doormen. This is a big plus factor.
If you are looking for a nice, clean and modern apartment (over peruvian average), you prefer to go to other places to party and have your own chilly and safe refugium instead I can highly recommend this place to stay!
Gracias Jose por todo! :)
Recomiendo!
