The space

The apartment is fully furnished, including all bedding and towels. The apartment is always provided clean and tidy with the bed made with clean bedding and clean towels in the cupboard. There is wireless hi-speed internet with unlimited downloading. There's also an alarm clock radio. The bed is a double. There is a small fridge, double hotplate, large toaster oven, and regular toaster, plus dishes, pans, and utensils to cook whatever. There's a closet to hang clothes and to store bags etc.The studio is a comfortable and efficient space full of charm. In the daytime it is bright, thanks to the many windows, and cozy and intimate by night.
The studio is situated in the heart of the trendy Plateau neighborhood. The Plateau is the cultural heart and soul of Montreal. Physically, the studio is located at the epicenter of the city, so to get to all points on the Island is as efficient as can be. Notably Downtown Montreal is just an easygoing 20 minute walk away. Also it's only 20 minutes to walk to the cool hipster Mile End neighborhood. There's a couple of laundromats on Duluth street, a short block away. It's ten minutes to walk to Sherbrooke or Mount Royal Metro stations. It's five minutes to get to the 55 north-south bus and 10 minutes to get to the 80 bus on Parc Avenue, that circles the central core of the city day and night.
There are lots of long established cafes, boutiques and restaurants in the neighborhood, both cheap or upscale but all very good. A little stroll and you are at the hip Parc Jeanne-Mance and at the foot the Mountain (Parc Mont Royal; scene of the amazing Sunday Tam Tam gatherings in the summer months).
Perfect for temporary visitors, contract workers, students etc. For visitors planning on cooking, there's a supermarket on Duluth Street (a short block away) and also Segals (the cheapest in Montreal!) nearby on St Laurent (a five minute walk).

Prior to checking out:
It is helpful if any wet towels are left hanging on the shower curtain rail to dry. It is also appreciated when guests do their dishes, tidy and sweep up. Trash goes on the sidewalk next to the building on Hotel de Ville. Please leave any recycling (clean paper, plastic and metal) in the apartment and I'll take care of that.Beer cans and beer bottles can be taken to the corner store on Rachel and Henri-Julien (turn right when you come out of 204 Rachel; its two little blocks down) and they'll give you the deposit money for them.
Thank you in anticipation of your kind attention.

Fabulous location can't be beat. The apartment is smaller than it appears in photos, but it is comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning in muggy July! Walking distance to fantastic cafes, and not far from the metro. A word of caution if you're driving - parking is hard to come by, and the permit rules for adjacent streets are complicated if you're not a local. We had to park quite far away to make sure we were 'safe' from a ticket or tow truck. If possible, leave your car at home! Patrick was a great host, offering flexible check-in and communicating regularly. No troubles with wifi - it worked fine for us. Thank you!

The apartment is nice and cosy, perfectly located in a really cool neighbourhood full of shops, restaurants and bars. It's small but cleverly furnished so you don't feel the lack of space. It was a great place to stay for us.

Patrick's place was a lovely apartment in a great location, making our trip to Montreal pleasant and easy. The location is very walkable to the different attractions in the city, we explored easily without ever needing to find public transportation. The place itself is cozy, and Patrick was extremely accommodating as a host. Great stay!

I chose this apartment to live during two months in Montreal. I made an internship in a hospital, and this was the perfect choice for me! It is a beautiful and confortable environment, warm for the winter (I lived there during January and February) with an amazing natural light. It is little, but perfect from my point of view (exactly what I wanted). The bathroom is big enough and the shower has the perfect water pressure and temperature. The equipment (dishes, glasses, frying pans) was enough for a couple. Patrick is extremely nice, warm and easy to talk with. He helped me a lot, he gave me all the information I needed to start in the neighborhood and finally, he took me to the airport. If I come back in the future (I hope!) I will ask Patrick for this apartment, no doubt.
